@@lightinsidecinema Indeed, it’s a frustrating situation to be in. However, I’d like to share that after trying your method, I discovered an easier way to retrieve project library in DaVinci Resolve, provided you have the project files available. In the Project Library section, click 'Add Project Library.' When the new window appears, choose 'Connect' instead of 'Create.' Then, give your library a name and browse to the folder where you’ve saved your backups and project files. For me it was: H:\01. My Projects\1. Video\02. Resolve Files\02. Personal\Resolve Projects This method worked wonderfully for me.

In this case, "Super Scale" is intended to highlight the feature's ability to upscale footage with high quality, using sophisticated algorithms to add detail and sharpness. However, without prior knowledge or context, it might not be immediately obvious that this is an upscaling tool.
@lightinsidecinema
@lightinsidecinema 8 күн бұрын
Exactly. It is a great upscaling tool if you have a better computer than what i have. Im running on a macbook pro with an i7 processor and the stock intel graphics card which isnt bad and it has been a workhorse. However i am thinking its time to upgrade to a mac studio.

My 2c 1. Sound balance will fail QC if it's unbalanced. I learned that the hard way. It was only heavy left for one scene but they found it. 2. For pacing I found cast read thrus usually find pacing issues. Good to fix before on set ideally 👍🏼 3. 180 is the enemy 😂 Seen it so many times on new filmmakers stuff. 4. Exposition dialogue is cheap. Good to avoid but on a budget it might be the only way. Sucky but real. 5. Sound design turns a video into a movie. Underestimate it at your peril

@@das_tattooatelier_freistadt Yeah that's very true but a lot of us don't have the luxury of time to do that. Most people on this platform love highly palatable content and we reward the creators with more of our attention. Talking unnecessarily when we want to get to the meat of the subject causes friction which is detrimental to our positive feelings and attention therefore causing us to click off and finding something more enjoyable. That's exatcly what happened. I didn't put the blame on him tho, it was just the action itself

About Superscale, I have a long experience with this tool and it was the best I found but created some weird artifacts despite the noise reduction and ironically even more with superscale enhanced even worst, Then I very recently tryed the Boris FX UpRes ML and is much but much better than the one included in Davinci, is so good that is perfect just watch yor settings in the sharpening they have to go low.

I don’t have your experience as I only rented it for one day for some tests. I agree that the color science seems slightly different and I suspect it’s « optimized » for asian skin complexion. In raking light scenario, it’s so beautiful. I agree with another commentator, what Sony made with the A7s3/FX3/FX6/ZVE1 sensor is amazing, especially in proRes raw, (I don’t like how slog3 deals with skin textures) and thus only Arri is standing apart in Sony’s plan for domination…if budget allows i’ll go Arri else Sony will do the job.

I didn't have to do all these though. I'm on windows in case there's any difference. I just went to Start Dashboard > Add Project Library (left bottom) > Create (not Connect), browse to an empty folder. It then created directories within that empty folder as Resolve Project Library\Resolve Projects. I knew my previous Resolve Projects folder was in F:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\Resolve Project Library\Resolve Projects. I now closed Davinci Resolve (in case there's a folder/file lock or being used), copied the contents from a previous Resolve Projects to new Resolve Projects folder and got everything back.
