Don't really need AItrack these days, just use neuralnet input in Opentrack and you are good to go.

I made this video just after I realised neuralnet method exists, after I've seen it in one of @the_unprofessionall 's videos. But for some reason it doesn't work too great for me. It's twitching, drifting so much, no filtering can compensate it. So I'm still using AItrack because it works. Not perfect, but good enough for me and MUCH better than the neuralnet input which is just unusable in my environment. I experimented maybe a week with it, complete fail.

@@holmarcsikbela8219 For me it was very twitchy as well earlier, but after setting up curves and shit, it works very well for me now. Or Maybe AITrack is just way better, i can't tell coz i never used it.

I'm an utter nub, but slowly it's building up. Next challange is how to refuel if my loaded plane does 240kts and the tanker flies at 240kts too ^^ Still have to figure it out :p

This is why I like to fly the Apache in VR as I get great accuracy, which is a must when using the cannon. People still struggle with accuracy when using TrackIR and that's experienced DCS sim pilots. Webcam head tracking has it's place and I do use it, even though I have a VR headset. Thanks for sharing the videos of your experience.

Just got a hw upgrade (from 8600k to 13900k), but proper cooling coming only next week so I could test for only a minute or so before overheating. If I set the webcam to 1024x768@60fps and chose the heavy method it is much smoother and more precise. AItrack keeps a full p-core busy then :p Keep tuned! ^^

@@holmarcsikbela8219 I've just upgraded to AM5 for Ryzen 7. Luckily my EVGA AIO is compatible so no extra expense. Not trying to push you into VR. Performance in DCS is not great but I can enjoy "joy rides" with it, long sorties and MP isn't really an option for me....yet. The immersion is awesome though! Point was Track IR isn't that accurate either. Remember there's "neural net tracker" built in to Opentrack. You can compare that to AI Track as to what works better/less taxing on the system. Look forward to seeing how you get on!

@@Honosuseri Got good experience with watercooling on a threadripper, this is goin to be the same, but for now it's running on an old aircooled tower, that takes away mayb 100W of the 3-400, so it maxes out fast, can't yet test properly, but for thos couple seconds it seemed much smoother, and did not drop out on fast movements. WHen I got the system ready up I can try measuring, by tryin to keep the HMCS crosshair on a spot in various situations and measuring the error. Now it is about 300ft from 3000ft alt on default zoom. Not great.

@@holmarcsikbela8219 I set my R7 7700 to boost until 80 degrees to give my AIO an easier time. I'm going to be GPU limited anyway so can afford to lose some CPU performance. Hopefully you can dial in the headtracking a little better. IMHO as long as you can mark a position relatively close, you can fly away and come back in. Slewing the targetting pod to find the targets you know are near.

Thanks for letting me know my video helped you out! As I said in my video considering it's basically free if you own a webcam, it works well enough with some tweaking. That money saved can be used to buy other toys like a HOTAS, Rudder pedals, Touch screen monitor for HELIOS (to activate all the aircrafts buttons/switches and MFDs) etc. etc. All the best with it, looks like you're having fun!
