I think there is a flaw in your forcing chain method. A 2 placed in r1c7 makes r1c4 a 7, eliminating 7 from r4c4 and leaving r4c9 as the only place for 7 in row 4. So, given you also found a way for 2 in r1c7 to make r4c7 a 5, I think the deduction is that r1c7 cannot be 2, which, of course, forces the 5 in r4c9 anyway.
