Lighter is better, when conditions allow for a lighter weight. Throw those super light weights in some of the moving water I fish and it’s way downstream before it has a chance to do anything. There’s a reason they make different weights.

It would be useful if I could see what you’re doing with the rod simultaneously with the bait. I haven’t fished in a while and I’m not sure how I should present the bait I used to try baits out in my pool at my old house. But I no longer have that option

Yup you can use the TRD as the bottom on drop shot. Instead of the cylinder weight. Use the Ned and use a minnow as the drop shot bait. 2 for one.

The Freeloader will probably make a good trailer but thats not what it was designed for. I believe Jacob Wheeler designed it for mid-strolling. Put it on a swimbait head with a loop knot. As you retrieve it through the water column it has a side to side roll cause of its flat sides.

I haven’t tried that Cull Shad, but I recall watching Keith Poche’ slaying both largemouth and smallmouth in a BPT event on Douglas Lake in Tennessee and he Won by a large margin,before the bait was released or available 😜🍀🎣🍀

KVD 2.5 Wake, Jack Hammer Chatterbait (3/8 oz), and Z-Man Turbo FattyZ texas rigged with a 1/4 oz bullet weight are all awesome options. Also, a weightless Zoom Super Fluke or Strike King Z-Too are tough to beat

When you come to Bass fish in Florida do what Roland Martin does fish the hot name lakes. Your near St. John's river....Zoom worms swim and pitch....all you need if your playing for just a few hours.

Odd but I've fished 2 weeks straight on 1 lake 2/3 days you are scratching your head and then they bite. Ya Zoom speed worm swim it Zoom trick worm cast /pitch flip. I force a topwater and then a lipless in the morning but switch to a worm if knowbody comes out to play. As a local since 1976 I go to a 10"-16" worm if they jump all over the regular sized.worms..Weightless Senko is the nothing else works lure here too. No surprise it's all the new kids on the block toss.

Owner Beast 6/0 most of the time, sometimes 8/0. Weighted, I think the 6/0 is 1/4 oz and the 8/0 is 3/8 oz
