This is a beautiful tribute to such a special and extremely talented man. I may get some backlash for this but the following is simply by belief; Prince was a much happier man, more open when he was with Mayte. The death of their son and the miscarriage tore them apart as grief took each of them in different directions. I for one do not believe his overdose was intentional nor do I believe that he knew he was actually taking Fentinyl. It may sound foolish to some but I couldn’t help but wonder if he thought of Mayte as he lay dying on the elevator floor. RIP, Prince.

This is cool. You always hear about Susannah Melvoin, as if she was his one and only, and I've never really bought into that. I think she was just one of many women Prince was involved with during that time in his life. Everyone knows that Prince had many women in his life. Outside of Mayte and maybe Vanity, I think Sheila E. was definitely a woman that he truly wanted in his life. He respected her talent and she was probably the only one that had the same work ethic and drive as he did. They bonded differently than he did with any other woman and no matter what was going on, she would always eventually end up performing with him over the years. I think the most important part of their relationship and probably why he respected her so much was because she didn't need him. She chose to be with him and perform with him. Very few of the other women had that distinction. I think that's why Sheila will never be able to get over him. Their bond was that strong.

They were the best toether. That's my favorite time of his career💜☔
