Hi Tom, allow about AUD $1,000 per kWh fully installed for many models - as the size of the battery varies so does the cost. Most home storage batteries in Australia are actually very similar in cost. It is more abut reliable installation and after sales service in case you want to upgrade and extend the battery or add an EV charger in the future.

Non Solar Edge systems do not convert from the roof to the grid and then to the battery (that's misleading).. the grid may set the voltage which conversions in the inverter adhere to but the current flow doesn't go anywhere near the grid.

Judging by how unreliable Chinese-made cars have proven to be, ESPECIALLY Chinese EVs, where they randomly explode on the road, have malfunctions, and one time a Chinese EV caught fire and locked the passengers of the car inside the vehicle as it roasted them to death, I have a feeling commercial production won't go far.

@MeBerserk salt water flood vehicles are a write off no mater what... you can be "waterproof"all you want but when the salt hits all the electrical connections it's gonna start having problems within days if not hours, salt water is one of the worst things you can expose a car to
