What a rare gem this recording is! So full of passion and skill combined with such a fabulous voice. Dedicated to one of the best and most beautiful songs ever written. Thank you so much, Nina! This is the absolute peak of "modern music" or therefore its interpretation. Just perfect, gives me chills erverytime, words can't really describe...🙏🙏🙏

Opet sam zadivljena ljepotom Nininog vokala i savršenstvom kojim ostavlja bez riječi.. bez daha. Zaista talent i ljepota glasa kakav rijetko, zapravo kakav dosad nisam čula, a tek emocija kojom iznosi pjesmu i tu emociju prenosi na slušatelja. Pretty good list, except of course that Kate Bush took her vocal style from Akiko Yano (Japanese Girl and Iroha ni Konpeitu came out before The Kick Inside). Kate's not as vocally one-of-a-kind as people in the West have long assumed. All cred goes to Akiko for that sound. Also, Elizabeth Fraser and Jun Togawa should definitely be here. Good to see Nina Hagen, Lisa Gerrard, and Nico though!

She didn’t take her vocal from anything. I highly doubt Kate Bush would have heard Akiko Yano. Kate Bush sang that way because of the characters she was playing in her songwriting (ghosts, medieval suicidal women, killer brides etc). There is no one in west that sounds like Kate Bush. And voice aside, her songwriting remains some of the most original and unique out there. You cannot listen to The Dreaming record and find me other vocals out there that sound like that.

In my humble opinion I find that many of the female artists are just yelling and screaming and for me that is not really enjoyable. Give me any song from Karen Carpenter who can sing high and low notes effortlessly and beautifully and it makes my ear drums rejoice. She does not yell while singing but her voice is so rich like velvet and when
