I watched the halfpipe competition in Japan - that's when everything went to cool from those neon-colored cheesy clothings. That's the beginning of the 90s. Damien Sanders got out of fashion, dread-rock Jeff Brushie was in. I was 18, now 50. Man, life is too short. Damn.

Near the last, the R/A crew! Reto, thx again (along w/ Dani!) for such amazing boards to ride upon! You, and Harry, and Dani, have put some-of the Very Best boards under my feet in my 44 Years I've been a Sno-Boarder (Snurfer Rider since '75).I am nearing 60 now, but look back, with Glee and contentment upon the PROGRESSION we (all of my Gen/and those that followed) refined in Skills, tricks, Talent, and, even Safety Awareness. Big Boards RULE, Carving Sucks until it's NEEDFUL, and Boarder-Cross was just a Shawn-Mind-Game to make Hetzel front flip a Jump!! Oh, and give Lindsey a Medal or 3.. LUV ya'll, even those I ain't met-yet that Soul Surf Snow! We Surf the Earth, when it (and snow-guns) allow us to. Keep it as a Legacy, if the Plastic/Oil companies allow us to. "PSR"

Contests, b-4 Gordon Robbins made all Coaches Aware of these things called 'HELMETS'.. I coached one youngster, Adam P., who had a brain condition, but wanted to 'keep-up' with the Abe/Elijah Teter bros. So at OKEMO, in '92-93, we (as Coaches) made HELMETS Our Standard, and Pushed this thru the ISF/USASA Rules Book. From then- on, Domes were Needed to Compete. I believe, Gordon saved about 10K Lives, right-then & There, Forever! So glad to have worked with him, then. Mike at OKEMO Management (hey Mikey, recall that I Taught Your Wife how-to sk8board? Yeah.. Thanks on the Payback) NEVER DID his Honor of Payment {frickin' Handshake Deal; what a Cheater!} to Me for the 'Sel's Park' project and Half=Pipe design that's LASTED over a Quarter Century (heck, even my 'S'-Rail is still in-use at "603" Park at Sunapee, 23 years later). What I foresaw, has become the 'norm', and as a 70's/80's Sk8-Rat, it's what I Hoped, 27 years ago, we'd get-to-be!! And I'm Stoked we al made it work, work Safer. and keep it FUN and Innovative!! 'PSR' [aka 'Pre-School Rider']

Warburton!! Alex was AMAZING, and just Nailed it! Riding, I believe, on an AIRWALK snowboard, then. He was WAY Under-Rated, and I just Wish I could've put a Tanker 172 under his feet (or Obsession 171). "PSR" [ at 15:46, Alex Proves, he's got LINES that Others Ignored!! As A former USASA/ISF Judge, I give this a 9.9 outa 10!!! Creative, and Elegant! Luv it! ]

That Jim Rippey (the 'Ripper') could LAND a 30ft Cliff on a way-too-soft 153/156-Twin, tells You So Much about his board-control, and resilient strength! That's pushing that little deck really Hard. If he'd only been on a big ol' CK/Supermodel, I wonder How his Jumps might've gone BIGGER!? "PSR" (surfin' these old hills, since back-in-the-day)

Luv the RAD AIR boards in this, as, then, they were Already, better-than Burton's stuff (but no one Knew that, yet). "PSR"

At around 7:20 +- min. Bryan Iguchi is on a Burton 'RENTAL SPECIAL' NASA twin-tip, not some "pro-Proto-hype", but a previous Season's "RENTAL" deck. I Know, because, Then, I was THE Senior 'rental-tech' at Okemo, and Park Designer, and L-2 Snowboard Instructor/Coach [and had, in my Quiver, more Boards than that Resort! ,still]. Those early Rental Burtons were Thick on the Bases and Edges, and originally were Not 3-D inserts. But they could Ollie & bonk stuff as you rode, and take a Hit that would crumble new boards.
