My father was an alcoholic who exposed me to intense rage and violence and never admitted to what he did to his son. I can only call it evil. It would have helped me if he had as John's father did in the video. David Milch has a gift of insight in his story lines.

My Goodness --- Charlotte Ross is fine as a Mo Fo . . . and I can't believe she agreed to do that scene and I can't believe ABC showed it! But the network paid heavily for it! They were fined a minor amount, but they were fined for every single affiliate station who broadcast this episode throughout the entire country. Send the final payment was astronomical . . . go Google it to find the total bill! #YIKES But still Charlotte Ross is just a fine as a Mo Fo! #yeahisaidit

The early days had great characters that were unique, looked and talked like NY Cops. By the time the show ended, the precinct looked like Andy plus a bunch of Ford models.

The Best thing about NYPD Blue is the number of great cop actors they used that starred in the Best and grittiest Cop Show Ever....Hill Street Blues! I was in the Atl Police Academy when Hill Street Blues was on....Never missed an episode!

I enjoyed watching NYPD Blue when I lived in East New York in Brooklyn since I was in in my 20s. I liked all tv cops series in the late 90s and early 2000s.
