The only way you can tell that you are in a demotional exam is when your playfield starts shaking for absolutely no reason while you are playing. Whereas, Promotional exams are very obvious with their signature golden borders.

@@trixciel Got past 400 twice in Death, been at TAP for about three years. (Took me two years to get GM in TGM1, and then I went on a mission to get all the "gimmick" GMs - 20G, monochrome, and 20G monochrome.)

Imagine having Grand Master then you accidentally select "Master" instead of "Shirase" and then realizing it was a demotional exam making you stressed out causing you to get demoted to MasterM
