damn, I have a whole cable, and the left speaker does not ring: ( rare shit of course, and not headphones, even if they cost 5 times cheaper

Михаил Матвеев don't know, maybe? I would be too afraid to damage the speaker. 🤷♂️

hey, thanks for the video, still useful, however in my case the other end with the jack is broken and I do have a jack replacement, so I would prefer not having to replace the cable. My only problem is that I cannot really tell which cable is for what inside the cord, they all look the same except for a white one that is probably the ground. do you know how could I find it out?
@michaelandersen85705 жыл бұрын
Kornel Varga yeah, when you cut the cable right above the jack, only cut one of the inner cables. Then measure if there's a connection from the cut cable to the jack tip. Do that for all the cables and you've mapped them all. ✌️

@@michaelandersen8570 I should have done that :D :D I guess now I'll just try the combinations. Either way, thank you for the answer!

Super helpful video. I fumbled my way through it and am so happy I don't have to spend money on another pair. I loved these headphones. Buttons don't work but they sound great 👍
@michaelandersen85705 жыл бұрын
I'm happy you found it useful. Maybe the reason the buttons don't work is that there are two standards (iOS and Android, effectively) and you used the wrong one for your use? If you have an iPhone you could test on an Android Phone and vice versa. ✌️

Where do you get the cable from?

Just search Ebay or Amazon, there's plenty to choose from. 🙂

0:23, just for people in the future, you can get some tape or paper around the tip to avoid scratching the headphones. Other than that, thank you for the video :)

Thanks for the video, I have a few questions cause my cat just chew the right cable. 1-Is the sound the same as before? 2-Would you recommend me to buy another cable or just try to repair it the with the same cable? 3-Do you know if the cable is made of optic fiber? (I look for it but didn't find) 4-How did you know the positive vs the negative side? Thank you
@michaelandersen85708 жыл бұрын
Pierre-Étienne Laporte The Sound is The same, it is just ordinary copper, I did not know but it should make no difference as long as you do the same in both sides. 😊👍

@@michaelandersen8570 I make a cable replacement and Iam not so convinced I think seriously that this original cable is made of silver or another alloy , I used to hear great highs and not now
@michaelandersen85703 жыл бұрын
@@ulisesfonseca7937 I guarantee the cable material will not have any meaningful impact on the sound quality, as long as it conducts electricity fairly well, like all wires to. A bad connection however is easy to make and that might explain your reduced sound quality. It is also quite possible the speaker has been damaged by heating too much during the soldering, you've gotta be quick. Many things can go wrong when soldering such small wires. unfortunately.

Thanks for the video. Do you have any tips for getting into the earphones? I can't separate the two pieces and have only the left one working.
@michaelandersen85708 жыл бұрын
tennisjonny it is actually quite easy, the screw-like objects on top are purely cosmetic, so you simply need to make a firm grip on the earpiece with a tool. Don't mind getting it scratched, there is no avoiding it. 😊
