I don't even know what's going on regarding PLouise drama. Between having a disabled spouse and disabled daughter and working 2 nursing jobs 7 days a week, I don't have the time or energy to dedicate to look into drama and people's dirty laundry. I'm not on social media but maybe more than a couple times a day, if that. But I absolutely support and respect your opinion

I definitely get that the bright and bold isn't for everyone, but I do appreciate them bringing light to an important topic. I just got mine, but I got the colorful palette! After revisiting which of the palettes she was giving out, I actually kind of wish I'd gotten the one you did because I love the tones!

That's outrageous!! 🤢 🤮 Mine had free shipping and it was from the UK website, but I 100% don't blame you! For the price tag of this by itself, I don't think I could have justified $75 on shipping on top of the price. I'm glad she put it on the US website. I hope more of her products come to that website in the future because the shipping makes me cringe lol

It is incredibly worth the splurge! I had to sacrifice a couple things myself to buy this as well, but I've always wanted one of her advent calendars because I feel that, before unboxing one myself, it seemed like the only one that was actually worth the money. I think you'll love it

How do the oranges in halloween 2 compare to this one? I know obviously this one has more variety in the orangey tones but i feel like you could get the same look from the oranges in the halloween 2 paletre, what do you think?

I think to an extent, yes, you could achieve the same looks. When looking at the palettes in person, the main difference is going to be the tone. The Trick R Treat palette is more warm-toned/rich while the Halloween one is cooler. Even the orange in that palette has a cooler tone to it. The shimmers are slightly different as well because they have the cooler hue to them. I think that yes you can certainly achieve nearly the same looks, the only difference will be the tone and what your personal preference would be!

Thank you Annie!! PLouise actually has an American website too so you dont' have to pay for international shipping! They don't have everything that they do on their regular webiste, but they have enough that you would be able to try the brand out!

That's what I mean when I say hooded eyes. You can't see my entire lid because the skin covers my lids 😭 Plus I have low-lying brows so I don't have a lot of real estate on my eyes and it makes me so sad 😂

I like the older palette idea. I watch old videos to see if the palette I want are any good. So maybe revisiting old palettes to see if they stand the test of time vs new formulas are still good.

If you have a few Colourpop palettes I’d love to see some looks with them (or even a ranking). They always seem like an affordable and fun option, but I don’t know what their formula is like 😊

Woooow? Im the first one to comment?! Amazing! First time! I think eyeshadow are more complex to judge vs lipsticks. Eyeshadow palettes have a lot to do with color theory. I think lipsticks are easier to judge. The eyeshadow palette it IS great. I understand everyone has a silver. I hate paying over 50 for an eyeshadow palette. HOWEVER, you pay for intricate formulation. Something unique. Ive bought a few cheap Morphe palettes and etc. I HARDLY ever touch them. I just give them away! They're just nothing special to keep me wanting to use it or give me this special feeling. Thats what cheaper brands offer simple, decent formulations for every day looks. I used to buy so much Indie brands cause i was so broke and im allergic to TALC. I had to stay away from drug store types because they use more talc than anyone. I cant wear color pop anymore. My eyes get irritated now. Now ive seen a few indie brands make some good formulas but i cant test them out. I will not buy without testing and some of these popular Indie brands are more expensive than $70. The beauty bay half of those colors wouldnt show on me, or would never use. Its not travel friendly. Olive girl's like me certain colors go muddy on me, there are so many factors depending on skin tone, and PH. Huda does offer something unique than most brands if she does it right. Not every palette has been amazing. I think it depends on the need and values of the customer. Do you want travel friendly, multitude of different textures, and etc? Natasha Denona for example, trash for the most part. Fall out is not a big deal to me. I've returned everything but one item i bought from her. Her palettes are hard to blend except the Gold one. For 70 i expect the formulation to go more smoothly, it doesnt have to be perfect, but managible. Honestly, i just wait for a sale or a year later. Its all going to be out of season after you buy it. Ha. There are some colors i do NOT have and i really want. I really love the Danessa but its 128, and im afraid certain shadows will dry out. 😢

I think makeup in general is hard to judge since everyone has their own opinions, likes and dislikes, etc, but I do agree that eyeshadows in particular can be difficult to judge since there are so many factors to take into consideration. I'm sure that's frustrating as can be having a talc allergy since so many brands use it in their eyeshadow formulations. I just feel that even though high end brands can have nice formulas, I think once they reach a certain point, you're more so paying for the name rather than the quality.

I'm with you. I was hoping for the same thing--like a green-purple duo chrome, or just something more special than what she gave us. This isn't exactly what I was expecting when she advertised a purple palette and from the outer packaging, I thought it would have an a green-purple duochrome.

Ooh I love a bold lip!!! The second look is my favorite! I’d like to try one of their smaller palettes. I’m not typically a fan of larger palettes, but only because I have trouble reaching every shadow in larger palettes due to my disability. I do like the layout though, it’s easier for me to reach horizontally rather than vertically…if that makes sense haha.

They do a pretty decent job curating the colors for the smaller ones to be a good mix of all times and shades in their larger ones. Plus I like smaller ones for travel and if I just want to try the brand! And yes that completely makes sense. One of my previous patients was that way as well. Smaller palettes were easier for her because of her disabilities in her arms and fingers. And your requested video will be up tomorrow! 😊
