I’ve worked construction almost ten years now and that’s what I tell all the new guys, don’t ever cheap out on your boots, bed, and tires. And then bring a lawn chair to the site for break or lunch

You know. This makes the bit where he says thank you for your service doesn’t apply to him. It kinda did. That is an incredible thing to work on that way. Even if you’re a contractor or not.

If you're comparing it to other Diablo expansions (not base games), then, well, I don't see how they were any better. The only narratively interesting part of LOD was the final cinematic because at that point we had grown so close to Marius that it was genuinely sad and great, but everything else was like "uhhhhh scary baal.. uhhh... attacked the barbarian homeland... for the stone.... uhhh... nihlathak is teh betrayer!!! (and that betrayal was boring too) uhhh". Like, come on. D3 story was even worse, although the expansion was actually quite impactful because the villain was rather unexpected, so narratively I would actually rate D3's expansion higher than D2's. And D1's expansion was complete garbage by some other shit studio (vanilla D1's story is very cool though, especially the ending - reminds me of Fallout 1 heh - highly recommended).

Diablo IV just became a huge platform to sell Cosmetics and overpriced DLCs... gameplay is mostly just hold 1 or 2 buttons and grind mats forever

I got bored of the base game haflway through, just didn't grab me and redundant combat. I guess I am just over Diablo or blizzard just phoned it in. I won't be getting this expansion, especially when cohh said the best pat was the advert for the next thing they can milk you for. if I want diablo, I will go back to POE.

(SPOILERS) Maybe it's just me, but Eru giving into hatred and directly betraying the wanderer didn't seem so out of left field as Cohh might claim. (and yes there were hints) Eru had been slighted and had gone through 3 major pivotal points in the game. 1. when several of his people had been killed by Neyrelle simply being there and the encroaching threat of the burning knights. 2. when he lost abulan, basically his source or anchor to his faith and one thing he was tightly identified with that literally defined him as a person. -- we invade his realm that is sacred to him, kill his diety and then on top of that, ignore the ritual he is trying to do 2 other times to find peace for the creature we used and took out its heart in front of him. we are strangers to him and barely say thank you or respect how that impacted him. 3. when he lost his best friend and possibly love interest in Maka, even after the repeated warnings, then continue to plunder more of the spirit realm and seek to tarnish the absolutely most sacred tomb which is host to Akarat and bedrock to their entire faith and religion with an evil that has already corrupted all that he held dear as a child. These are just major events that occur in the main storyline and don't include side quests related to him. Think of it like this, We enter Eru's Life and time and time again we destroy everything he holds dear, kill what he loves and continue to make things worse. Not only that but throughout the game we withheld information that we had been working with Mephisto, the very entity that destroyed his life once already and yet he still persisted. Why did we expect him to believe that on the nth time that we try something that it wouldn't end in failure? They foreshadowed it like 3-4 times especially in the story of where he tells you of the person who took the hand of the evil spirit (damning their own life) to save the village... "They made a sacrifice". the ending to me at least made sense and felt fairly rational. I will say however that they could have done a better job with how Neyrelle dealt with it, but it made sense.

"Don't ask questions, just consume product and then get excited for next product". Guessing the story continues in seasonal content so they dont' have to make a random story anymore for seasons....still wth.....payed for product, and product makes me feel like it was unfinished. even the endgame falls apart imo after a good chunk of hours...sure it's improved....but you are just grinding for the same stuff again but only in different places now....but cause it's scattered more you maybe feel like you are doing different content? but in reality....not really worth it? still same gear, same gem leveling, etc lol.

I actually started to resent having these other characters following me around waffling at each other, i felt like I just wanted to be left alone to kill things. Also, for the record, I hated all the dialogue spam while youre fighting a boss trying to dodge shit that would kill you, completely wasted because none of it was absorbed.

13:04 "Imagine Fight Club without the bigger story." Ah, so you've played Fight Club on PS2, eh? Know what that game was? Literally a Fight Club...with some characters from the movie and some originals...and nothing else but the Fight Club. No bigger narrative, no psychological backstory, nothing. As you can imagine...absolutely garbage video game. I don't entirely agree that a good story doesn't have you asking questions, on the contrary, I think a well nuanced story turns every reader/viewer/player into detectives that WANT to know the rest to fill in the blanks. That said, this was way WAY too on the nose, it had barely any nuance, and it didn't even end in a place that was satisfying.
