Compound Path does not work for me... Adobe tells me it is not possible to do that for text, even if i followed all your tips... Any advice if there is another way?

Thanks for your comment. Yes, Compound Path does not work with text. To resolve this, you first need to convert the text to outline as shown in the video at kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6TcfXR3Z9KXbsU
