The whole debuff turn counter thing is the same I’m pretty sure. I think what’s different is that using a debuff again doesn’t extend the effect (which is odd I’ll admit) In the fight around 8:19 you used the pierce rakunda move, and then he took two press turns. No blink. Next enemy phase he used only one action because he missed. When player phase came around that’s when it started blinking. By the logic that even a single press turn counts for the debuff timer, the debuff would have been completely gone after that missed attack, because that was his third action under the debuff. It’s reminiscent of OG Persona 3 where if you used a buff before it ran out, it would have no effect on the timer. This time, there is the effect of intensifying the buff, but once again it seemingly has no effect on the timer.
