Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. I used synthetic brushes from 'Dynamic Distraction' and a simple Chinese brush for this painting.

What a unique idea...to paint birds or butterflies on a separate piece so to "stage" them into a larger painting! I love it! Will definitely do this for paintings in the future. Thank you!

It depends on the artist's purpose. To create depth and draw attention to the flowers, shading the green leaves with lighter tones is more effective.
