There is much need for Christoan Pastors to learn Biblical Hebrew [Ivrit] to have a solid rock foundation to stand upon, before pulling others out of error. Yehovah has been found spelled out in authentic Israeli Scrolls over 2000 times, inspite of censorship and erasure. The Masorite text is reliable reproduction of the Temple Scoll that Rome returned 200 years after destruction of the 2nd Temple.

Evidently, Qurans are fictional works, with falsr claims of authorship and dates like the books of Jubilees, Enoch, and Mormon.. Was Abdul Mal'ak mentioned in this video, the same ruler that rebelled against the Orthodox Church, and made the coins with crosses?

Anyone taling about "three score" beeds to rwalize the Greek doesnt say anything about scores. It's χξϛ as a number (666) versus this χιϛ (616) with the middle digit different. There is no "three score" for thelat argument to be made in the first place.

I hate to break it to you, but the TR, which the KJV is based on, was also compiled with textual criticism. Erasmus and others just had fewer manuscripts to work with.
@Berean_with_a_BTh
@Berean_with_a_BTh 4 ай бұрын
@@Silky4everThe Textus Receptus is based on the KJV, not the other way around. The KJV's translators drew heavily from the Tyndale Bible - about 5/6 (83%) of the KJV New Testament is Tyndale's words and about 3/4 (76%) of the KJV Old Testament is Tyndale's words. In turn, Tyndale's New Testament was translated into English using Erasmus’ 3rd printed edition of the text compiled from only eight Greek manuscripts (all dated from the 11th to 16th centuries, with heavy reliance on manuscripts from the 12th to 14th centuries). The translators of the KJV didn't examine any manuscripts for themselves. What they used was _printed critical editions_ (not actual manuscripts) of the Greek & Hebrew texts produced by Erasmus, Stephanus & Bezae - and even the Latin Vulgate. The Textus Receptus as we now know it wasn't compiled until 1894 (i.e. 283 years later) by Scrivener, who looked for _printed editions_ (again, not actual manuscripts) of the Greek & Hebrew texts supporting the KJV translation, from which he then created the Textus Receptus. Since then, the Textus Receptus has been revised many times and today there are over 100 versions of it. So which Textus Receptus do KJV-onlyists say we should rely on and what makes that edition the one and only "correct" one?

Is Islam a Heresy from a Christian Perspective? Introduction This article that goes with the video examines the Islamic faith from a Christian perspective, addressing the question of whether Islam can be considered a heresy within Christian doctrine. It aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of Islamic beliefs and practices, their historical development, and how they diverge from Christian teachings. Understanding Islam and Its Foundations The Life of Muhammad: Muhammad, the founder of Islam, claimed to receive revelations from Allah, which formed the basis of the Quran. The Quran: The Quran is the central religious text of Islam, believed by Muslims to be a revelation from God. Its teachings significantly differ from biblical narratives and Christian doctrines. Key Islamic Beliefs and Practices The Six Pillars of Belief: These include belief in Allah, his angels, his books, his messengers, the Day of Judgment, and predestination. The Five Pillars of Islam: These are Shahada (faith), Salat (prayer), Zakat (almsgiving), Sawm (fasting during Ramadan), and Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca). Divergence from Christian Doctrine Concept of God: Islam strictly emphasizes monotheism (Tawhid), rejecting the Christian concept of the Trinity. Jesus in Islam: Islam acknowledges Jesus (Isa) as a prophet but not as the Son of God or the Savior, contradicting central Christian beliefs. Salvation and Atonement: Islam lacks the Christian concept of salvation through Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice, focusing instead on adherence to the Five Pillars and moral conduct for salvation. Historical Expansion of Islam The expansion of Islam after Muhammad's death, including the creation of various sects (e.g., Sunni and Shia), reflects its historical and theological evolution, further diverging from Christian teachings. Islam and Radical Beliefs While the majority of Muslims do not subscribe to radical Islam, there are sects and interpretations that endorse extreme practices, such as those witnessed in radical jihadist movements. These practices are often at odds with both Islamic and Christian teachings on peace and justice. Nevertheless, one has to understand there are 1.8 billion Muslims in the world. It is estimated that 15% are made up of those who support the radical views of Islam privately, those who would help finance those radical views, and those who would carry out those radical views through violent actions. This would mean 27,000,000 million Muslims fit into this category. If we ever doubted this, the terrorist attack on Israel on October 7th, 2023, is evidence of such. The number of pro-Hamas and pro-Palestinian protesters around the world screaming for the destruction of the Jewish people has surprised many. These are sleepers in society that you never knew were there. Evaluating Islamic Teachings Hadith and Sunnah: These are collections of Muhammad’s sayings and actions, which, along with the Quran, form the basis of Islamic jurisprudence (Shariah law). Shariah Law: It governs many aspects of a Muslim's life and can include practices that are contrary to contemporary Christian values and human rights standards. SHARIAH LAW EXCURSION Shariah Law, derived from Islamic religious texts, including the Quran and Hadith, is a legal framework intended to guide the lives of Muslims. However, from a conservative Christian and human rights perspective, several aspects of Shariah Law are viewed as problematic, particularly concerning the treatment of women, individuals with same-sex attraction, and children. Treatment of Women under Shariah Law Shariah Law imposes strict regulations on women's behavior, dress, and legal rights. It often enforces a patriarchal structure: Marital and Legal Rights: In many interpretations of Shariah Law, women have fewer rights in marriage and are subject to stringent divorce regulations. A man can divorce his wife more easily than a woman can divorce her husband. Women’s testimonies in courts are often given less weight than men's. Dress Code and Public Behavior: Shariah mandates specific dress codes for women (like wearing a hijab), often justified as a means of maintaining modesty. Non-compliance can lead to legal and social consequences. Education and Employment: In some regions where Shariah Law is strictly enforced, women's access to education and employment is limited, impeding their ability to be financially independent and participate fully in society. Treatment of Individuals with Same-Sex Attraction Shariah Law is often extremely punitive towards individuals with same-sex attraction: Criminalization of Homosexuality: In many Islamic countries where Shariah Law is applied, homosexual acts are illegal and can lead to severe punishments, including death. This strict stance lacks compassion and fails to recognize the dignity and rights of individuals with same-sex attraction. Social Stigma and Discrimination: The law reinforces negative stereotypes and social stigmas against the LGBTQ+ community, leading to discrimination, harassment, and violence. Treatment of Children under Shariah Law Children's rights under Shariah Law also raise concerns: Child Marriage: Shariah Law does not always set a minimum age for marriage, leading to child marriages. This practice can have severe physical, psychological, and emotional impacts on children, especially girls. Education and Freedom: Children, particularly girls, may have restricted access to education. Their freedom to explore different beliefs and lifestyles can also be limited. Consequences for Muslims Marrying Non-Muslims Shariah Law typically discourages or forbids Muslims from marrying non-Muslims, especially in the case of Muslim women. This restriction can lead to familial and social ostracization, legal repercussions, and in some cases, severe punishment that I cannot mention on KZbin. Other Concerns Other aspects of Shariah Law that are often viewed as problematic include: Punitive Measures: Practices like amputation for theft or stoning for adultery, though not universally applied, are part of the legal framework in some interpretations of Shariah Law. Freedom of Religion: Conversion from Islam to another religion (apostasy) is often met with severe punishment, including death. This stance contravenes the principle of religious freedom. Blasphemy Laws: These laws, ostensibly to protect religious sentiments, can be used to suppress dissent and limit freedom of speech. From a conservative Christian and human rights perspective, Shariah Law contains elements that are deeply concerning, especially regarding the treatment of women, individuals with same-sex attraction, and children. It often imposes strict and sometimes punitive measures that can infringe on basic human rights and freedoms. Understanding and addressing these issues is crucial in advocating for a more compassionate and just approach that upholds the dignity and rights of all individuals. END OF EXCURSION Islam in Light of Christian Apologetics Apologetic Approach: Engaging in dialogues with Muslims requires understanding Islamic beliefs and respectfully presenting Christian doctrines. Contrasting Theologies: Key differences in the understanding of God, Jesus Christ, and salvation are essential topics in interfaith dialogues. The Rise of Radical Islam An examination of the factors contributing to the rise of radical Islam, including political, socio-economic, and theological aspects, from a Christian perspective. Conclusion From a Christian doctrinal standpoint, Islam is considered a divergent belief system with significant theological differences, particularly in the understanding of God, Jesus Christ, and salvation. While some may say that it is not productive to label Islam as a heresy in interfaith dialogues, conservative Christianity does not support interfaith (the Bible speaks against the practice of interfaith), so we need to understand these differences as they are crucial for more than meaningful theological discussions and effective Christian apologetics. This evaluation aims not to condemn all Muslims but to foster a deeper understanding of Islamic beliefs, paving the way for respectful and informed conversations between Christians and Muslims who are receptive to dialogue. What is the Original Reading of John the Baptist's Testimony about Jesus in John 1:34? Introduction John 1:34 presents a textual variant in the New Testament that has garnered significant attention among scholars. The question is whether John the Baptist referred to Jesus as "the Son of God" (ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ) or "the chosen one of God" (ο εκλεκτος του θεου). This article examines the textual evidence and theological implications of each reading, aiming to determine the most likely original wording used by John the Baptist. Textual Evidence Reading as "the Son of God": This reading, supported by 𝔓66, 𝔓75, 𝔓120, א2, A, B, C, W, Δ, Θ, and Ψ, is found in the Textus Receptus (TR), Westcott-Hort (WH), and Nestle-Aland/United Bible Societies (NU) texts. This reading has strong external support, especially from early papyri and significant uncials. Reading as "the chosen one of God": This variant is found in 𝔓5, 𝔓vid, א*, ite, and syrc. Although it is not as widely attested in the manuscript tradition, its presence in early papyri and key Western witnesses suggests its antiquity. Conflated Reading: The presence of a conflated reading, “chosen son of God,” in ita, syrpal, and copsa manuscripts indicates that both readings existed early in the textual transmission process. Analysis of Textual Variants Examination of Manuscripts: The transcription error in 𝔓5 and the correction in Codex Sinaiticus (א) suggest textual instability in the early transmission of John 1:34. Historical Plausibility: Scholars like Gordon Fee argue that "chosen one" is more likely to be original, as it might have been altered to "Son of God" by orthodox scribes to counter adoptionism or to align with the Synoptic accounts and Johannine theology. Theological Implications: "Chosen one of God" adds a unique messianic title to John 1, aligning with Isaiah 42:1 and enriching the chain of messianic titles in the Gospel. In contrast, "Son of God" is a frequent Johannine title but may be seen as repetitive within the context of John 1. Evaluation of Scholarly Opinions Orthodoxy and Textual Alteration: The hypothesis that early scribes altered the text for doctrinal reasons is plausible but requires careful consideration of the historical context and the scribes' theological understanding. Contextual and Literary Analysis: The Johannine context, which frequently refers to Jesus as "the Son of God," supports the traditional reading. However, the unique contribution of "chosen one of God" to the messianic titles in John's Gospel cannot be overlooked. Recent Scholarship: The discovery of 𝔓106 and 𝔓120, with their respective readings, has revitalized the discussion, showing that both readings have early origins. Conclusion The textual variant in John 1:34 presents a complex scenario where both readings, "the Son of God" and "the chosen one of God," have early and substantial manuscript support. The decision regarding the original reading hinges on an evaluation of the manuscript evidence, the historical context of early Christian scribes, and the theological implications of each reading. While "the Son of God" aligns with the broader Johannine Christology, "the chosen one of God" offers a unique and contextually rich messianic title that complements the Gospel's portrayal of Jesus. The ongoing scholarly debate reflects the rich textual history of the New Testament and the nuances of early Christian theology. In Summary The critical texts TR WH NU have ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ “the Son of God,” which is supported by P66 P75 P120 א2 A B C W Δ Θ Ψ 083. Variant 1 has “chosen son of God” supported by ita syrpal copsa. Variant 2 is probably the original, which reads (ο εκλεκτος του θεου) “the chosen one of God,” which is supported by early and diverse manuscripts P5vid P106vid א* ite syrc,s. Variant 2, “the chosen one of God,” is the unusual reading, then changed to the usual reading of the critical texts “the Son of God.” Yet, both have early and diverse manuscripts, so either reading could be original. If you read the Bible, Jesus was never the son of God. Jesus is God. David is the son of God.

@@christiansamaroo You might want to reread the Bible. Luke 3:38 the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God. There are dozens of places in the NT where Jesus is called the Son of God, and he NEVER argues against that claim, and the NT authors under inspiration called him "Son of God."

It's not a number at all. John wrote what he saw. The name of Allah in Arabic and the symbol of the crossed swords Muslims use.

"arithmos" the Greek word for number shows up in the Revelation 13:18 P115 text 3 times, so you have some explaining to do.
