Duck is Sheffield and Derbyshire, like is used often at the end of a sentence.. Barnsley is the broadest ,but all have different sounds. West Riding more industrial exaggerated wide mouth sounds ,to lip read in a noisy workplace , as closer to Lancastrian , while Merseyside ,originally set up by the Mercian ( West Midlands) Anglo-Saxons, as a port of foreign trade. and it own distinct sounds and culture.North and East Riding more rural clipped sounds and different vowel emphasis i.e ewe becomes y oww and old Norse word used , like Coney St( young rabbit) just up those bridge steps off Low Ouse Gate, there. The gate being the street not the bar, a secured entrance into the settlement. The bar , which is called a pub (Public House) different from an Inn, which was more an early form of hotel . The Northern words are like U.S American don't add r sounds , like glasses is that, not glarses as many U.S English sounds are from the Germanic, literal translations of its function. The North of England is from the Dane Law (Viking) , not Saxon , with Northumbria retaining more Scandanavian than the rest. Cumbria and Cornwall are the last refuge of Roman Celts in England , so some variations there. 2p worth of nous?

Your problem was you really didn’t know the area. 516 - 14th Street is now 516 - Tronolone Place. You were looking at the wrong street for where your father was born. Also the Como Restaurant was just sold and is reopening. In any case it is depressing to see Niagara Falls like that today.

My daughter recently purchased a house in the Little Italy neighborhood. I am helping her restore it and I will move there soon. I agree that local officials are a huge part of the problem. Apparently many trees in the area have been struck with disease and have died. When I inquired about their remediation program to address the issue, I was told it would be years before they did so and I had the impression they never intended to. In the interim, entire streets with rows of dead Halloween trees exist, not an appealing place to invest, buy a house and live.

Did you say Niagara Falls never got rich because of the view. Dude please do some research. All the money from the state park goes back to Albany, NY. That's why not because of a view. Please do some research before you put out BS.

You appear to be an angry person and with that Aruba definitely isn't for you. Aruba is for people who want to relax, have fun enjoy the great weather, beaches, snorkeling, water sports, restaurants and night life. My wife and I love Aruba along with millions of other people who frequently travel there. The island is one of the safest in the Caribbean and the people are very friendly and helpful.

My mom, also born in 1932, took all 4 of us kids- me 11,brother 10, sister 9, brother 8 on a road trip vacay from Conn to Niagra Falls and back in 1969. We followed the blue hiways up with stops in Cooperstown and Finger Lakes. Stayed at Sheraton on Canadian side with rooftop pool and all the kitchey attractions. Did Maid of Mist, Tram over the River Rapids/whirlpools, Fort Niagra. On way home broke and could only afford 1 stop. We chose Gaslight Village in Lake George and stayed in cheap motel with a pool, of course. Ate at Hojos every night and complained that we had to order off kiddie menu. Since we were broke our last activity was to climb Mt Prospect all the way to the Fire Station at top where Ranger gave us certificates. Mom gave us many good family vacays and this was one of the best! Thanks Mom, see you in Heavan. (I hope 😮)

What are those buildings behind him? I think he mentioned a sauna but I’m curious about those machines
@LustraGaming12 күн бұрын
I'll have some fun finding out for you. I'll get back when I found it.
@LustraGaming12 күн бұрын
The building called a sauna is the Helsinki Biennial Pavilion. Helsinki Biennial is a contemporary art festival held every 2 years. The round building you see in the back is also being used as a ticketing office for the ferry to the festival location on Vallisaari Island The structures behind him are public toilets. If you want to look at the location yourself just look up Kauppatorin yleisövessa in google maps. Note: the streetview shows the toilets and building. The satelite image has small toilets and no building yet. I had fun finding this one. Not easy as there was very little to go on except the white building to his left and the view from the camera location.

This Guy must be liberal, cause his judgement of people and bringing up race shows how he thinks. He thinks that rednecks are racist white and trashy people that drinks and shoot there Guns at people. I have alot of redneck friend and they are the most down to earth, hardworking and happy people i know. The Mexican clothing store owner put him in his place when he brought up the redneck talk..lol😅

Ive lived here my entire life unfortunately. This is a city of dead souls, it has little to nothing to offer anybody. But if you are here, definitely go check out the NACC. They're likely to have some kind of art gallery or show currently going on. It's really a special place.
