Impressive content, Omenuko lifestyle. Looking forward to your next upload. I smashed the thumbs up button on your video. Keep up the great work! Do you think the watering schedule will affect the germination rate, especially given the dry season conditions?
@omenukolifestyle80583 күн бұрын
Thank you very much for smashing the thumbs up.. 😁.. I'm greatly encouraged by your words.. As for the watering schedule affecting the germination rate, I don't really think that has much effect on beans as beans does not require too much water that's why it's planted around the end of the raining season. . But I believe at the end of this experiment I'll make a video of my deductions

Good afternoon sir pls Which month can brown beans and white beans be planted
@omenukolifestyle8058Ай бұрын
Generally beans is planted the same period in nothern nigeria.. I'm not sure when it's planted in southern nigeria but knowing that beans take 2 and a half months to 3 months (75 days to 90 days) from planting to harvest and it doesn't need much rain when approaching harvest, it's better to plant it 2 months before the rain stops in your region.. So in nothern nigeria basically, late August/ early September is the ideal time
@dinolizzy8481Ай бұрын
Thanks sir
@ajokuruth789229 күн бұрын
@@omenukolifestyle8058 sir, those that means that, beans can be planted twice a year if one can actually water it at the beginning of planting during dry season
@omenukolifestyle805829 күн бұрын
@ajokuruth7892 yes ... Most likely, you can plant bean any time of the year if you can consistently water it for at least 2 months and condition the farming environment not to have too much sun for the first one and a half month at least.. After 2 months you can allow sunlight as beans doesn't like rain during the tail end of its circle. The sun allows the pods to dry. Beans generally takes 75 days to mature but there's a specie that takes 40days
@dinolizzy8481Ай бұрын

@omenukolifestyle8058Ай бұрын
Thanks for the question but I have not planted in such large scale before but from research it said that when you plant in a hectare of land you can get up to 30bags of 100kg each The number of plots in a hectare depends on the size of the plot: - 600 sq m or 650 sq m plot: A hectare is equal to 16.6 plots - 900 sq m plot: A hectare is equal to 11.1 plots - 100 ft by 50 ft plot: A hectare is equal to 15 plots A hectare is a metric unit of measurement for land that is equal to 10,000 square meters. It is also equivalent to 2.471 acres in the British Imperial System and the United States Customary measure. In Nigeria, a plot is the standard unit of measurement for land. The size of a plot can vary depending on the location and the type of property. .

How many yams can someone harvest on one seed of yam?
@omenukolifestyle8058Ай бұрын
It depends on how big the yam seed is and into howany yam setts you get out of the seed to plant
@omenukolifestyle8058Ай бұрын
A yam sett is a piece of a yam tuber that is cut from a larger tuber to be used as planting material for yam propagation. Yam setts can be small whole tubers, or pieces cut from larger tubers. Yam setts are used in yam production because the quality and quantity of the harvest depends on the quality and size of the seed or set planted. Here are some things to know about yam setts: Yam minisetts A cultivation system where mother tubers are cut into small setts that are about a quarter of the size of a normal planting piece. The yam minisett technique (YMT) was developed in Nigeria to rapidly multiply yams. Size of setts The size of the sett depends on the season and the variety of yam. For example, setts are cut smaller for planting during the rainy season and larger for planting in the dry season. Planting distance The distance at which setts are planted depends on the size of the sett. Small setts are usually planted in closely spaced mounds, while larger setts are planted on larger mounds. Staking Staking is commonly used in yam production because yams are a vine-type plant. Staking improves leaf arrangement, shoot biomass, and tuber yield.
