Thank you for the video. My clear brush cover does not remove but after a long soak, some of the gunk/hair released.

I’ll tell ya. I probably would not have cleaned it just rinsing the top piece but you make it so simple thanks. Just have one question the vacuum piece that plastic piece on top of the clear piece. How does that come off? All the best Andrew

Very helpful. I have an older machine, took off the nozzle and the O ring washer was brittle and broke. I hope I can get a replacement. At least I can get the rest of the machine cleaned. Thanks.

Good video! Unfortunately, I have the older model where the plastic sl doesn’t pop off the “scrubber!” It is super hard to clean!

IF YOUR CLEAR PIECE DOES NOT COME OFF OF THE VACUUM HEAD: In another comment I found that Part number 160-0055 from Bissell has the little button that makes this piece removable. Apparently even if it's listed as not compatible, it has been confirmed to fit on the green 1400B model. Just ordered it for myself so hoping for the best. Really poor design choice in the current iteration.

Great video. I borrowed one and the clear plastic cap does not appear to come off to clean the head on this one. It is not mine, maybe an older version. I don't want to break it. This was very helpful in me returning it clean. Thank you. From USA

Super helpful thank you!! What’s “Dead All”? I rewound the video a few times and I’m still not sure I got that right. But it’s something you’d normally put in the sink full of water that you didn’t this time.

I can’t thank you enough. My poor machine looked like a wicked and nasty cesspool. As of today it’s spotless. Kudos!

It’s odd I never even thought of running hot clear water through the machine. I must have been thinking about electrocution, but I’m.not submerging the whole machine 😂. If it can suck up a pint of dog pee, it can do the same with clear water. Nowhere in the instruction manual is it mentioned. Only how to clean the removable brush.

Perfection! Now, I have the Bissel 20037, and I always rinse out the tank, but cannot wait to start soaking it in dishwasher soap - mine might take overnight, but I don’t want to dry rot the flap or plug that’s attached to the tank. Why they don’t provide us with a brush to get all up in there is a mystery.

You are a freakin’ genius! - The sink bit. :-) Thank you! My guess is- and it’s not a diss - is you are someone who pays attention to cleanliness and order. I’m not. (Horder/ grot). But you are a champ. Exactly the video I needed to see.

Coming back again for a refresher on how to clean it and I realized I only used hot water on the first part, cleaning out the inside of it. You listed a product to add to the water to sanitize it, but I'm not sure what you said (probably because it's not a US product and it's unfamiliar to me). The transcript says "debt all" but that doesn't seem right either. I'd like to look up the product so I can get some sort of equivalent if possible!

Great video! Thanks for clarifying the green indicator thing. I was trying to put one of these car seats into a vehicle that doesn't have isofix and couldn't work out what the heck the instructions were talking about. Your video made it clear and simple. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
