York & North Yorkshire Combined Authority

The creation of the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority marks a new era of opportunity for our region.  

The Combined Authority, created by City of York Council and North Yorkshire Council, has major new powers and funding to unlock transport and housing improvements, boost skills provision and help the economy transition to net zero. Making the most of the combined strengths of the city region and rural power house, the Combined Authority is a long-term commitment to shaping a brighter future for generations to come.

Can any tell me why spend 4.5 million on a mayor and 54 staff ,make fiscal sence , why would you vote for this waste of money but he is democratically elected so lets see if he is worth the money
