What a lovely catch up video,you’ve been very busy,your garden is looking beautiful. I tried your method of sowing my broccoli earlier this year and got them planted out and cropped them before the cabbage whites appeared and beat me to them! It was very successful,I’ve never had such a good crop 😃,thanks very much for that tip. Enjoy your garden 🫶🏻.

Now that it’s summer and more light during the day they are laying nearly once a day each which is great. Whenever I add more shrubbery they tend to stop for a bit until they are settled and they also slow down / stop in winter ☺️

Great stuff. I just planted calabrese broccoli for the first time this year. I went ahead and did direct sowing in April and just poured half of the packet in a row. When they came up, I eventually thinned them and will be eating all the lovely broccoli sprouts that got thinned out.

A great clip. The vegetation looks like the kind of place I imagine quail wanting to hang out. As a kid, I only ever saw quail running along the furrows in my Grandfather's farm. Now I'm planning a similar natural aviary for my own quail.

Wasted a lot of seeds my friend not sure why don’t remove them and plant the one you pull they do fine transplanting
@gardenonthemoors5 ай бұрын
You're quite right, although I only have a small amount of space for them, max 15 plants, which I want a succession of across the season and so need different sowing dates. Each seed is inexpensive and this method means that the few I do grow are the strongest and most robust I can get. I do transplant the outcasts if a trio in a separate pot hasn't germinated, has failed due to slugs or are weak in growth, so they are also my insurance policy 😊 Hope that helps!

Wow those are lovely leeks, I notice your in Cornwall , so am I but my leeks never grew that fat and I sowed Musselburgh, however it was very dry last summer and of course we had a hosepipe ban, I also noticed you filled in the holes , most online gardeners just fill the holes with water which is what I did . Maybe I’ll try your way this time. Only just found this video so I’m going to see if there’s anymore 👍
