Those you see at the edges of the Gaya island are wooden sheds built on the water. They built their own community where these poor sheds linked together with amature wooden supported spongy or bouncy spans. Their generational traditional life used to depend on fish from their surrounding water. But, fish have saturated in recent decades, they have to largely bring their foods and drinking water from mainland Sabah by those speed boats as a mean of transportation and carrying kids to schools.
