I think Grimlins 2 is just a fun movie. I have more appreciation of the movie after watching the KZbin channel Dead Meat video on it because they really dive in to every thing the movie was making references.

Dick Grayson's parents were not shot. The safety net for their circus was cut. And yes, Dick was a child at the time. Which is partly why Bruce adopted him.

From what recall Schumacher's interpretation of Batman is based more off of the live action Adam West series, making it more cartoony then actual Batman cartoons of the time.

A good first video. You can say that many fans (including myself) of Batman and superheroes in general got their start with the director Bruce Timm's era of animation. So it's nice to see a timeless classic like Mask of the Phantasm still getting the appreciation it deserves.
