For those who are not aware, the song ‘better is one day’ is based on Psalm 84. I’ve copied it by hand into a notebook recently ( Psalm 84 ) and obviously recognized it immediately. I think it’s great that Andrew as a matter of-course presents something from the weeks portion, even the annual reading of Torah. Again, for those who don’t know already, or read much, this weeks ‘ Parashah’ is Vayetzei “ and he went out “ that is…Jacob. You’re missing out in ways unimaginable if your not reading Torah. That’s real service, go ahead now and show the God you say you ‘serve’ your commitment, blessings all. The reading from the second writings, even the discourse between Yeshua and Nathaniel is actually my favourite portion of scripture. May we all aspire to be those of whom it can be said “is no guile”.

I had a praying mantis greet me twice at work weeks ago, the spiritual meaning behind it among others is ‘keep your eye on the lord’ good job with the singing,I appreciate it all, I’ll never understand the ‘liturgical flags’ though. I see no purpose or meaning in it.

And here we are today looking at this weeks Torah portion, which is what it was when you shared this message. Deuteronomy 22:6-7 is considered the ‘least of the commandments’ even the one Yeshua referred to in Matthew 5:17-20. And yet the same promise is here made to the observance of it that is made to the keeping of the fifty commandments Deut 5:16, which is among the greatest. What you commented is very similar to Whitby Matthew Henry comments on the same scriptures or portion. I had not thought of Ephesians 6:1, great find man. We love his commandments! Thanks for the Isaiah 2 reference as well.
