I haven't been very impressed with the songs ive heard so far i think they have to many cooks in the kitchen the last two albums were great Mike Mangini just played drums i think it worked better

Great interview, guys! John D. Clair is a fantastic designer. I love hearing about the design process of different board game designers. The Mistborn Deckbuilding Game is very fun. We also love Space Base and Cubitos from him as well. Mystic Vale has been on my want to play list for quite some time now.

Right there with you. Though I probably won't trade mine because it's the Zelda Edition OLED... Just means I'll have to fork over more money for a non-OLED console. 😭😭

I agree with a lot of the comments. 4 player co-op doesn't scale super well with the Lord Ruler because you can't unlock the full potential of your deck because of the limited amount of turns. where as a 2-3 player co-op game is more manageable. Some re-balancing along with some enhancing with a 2nd edition and/or expansion would be a welcome thing!

I personally hope they increase the battery life. Not that I run out easily, but if I had an extra 3-4 hours of battery life I wouldn’t have to take my charger on vacations with me. Thank you guys for the updates!

The Armored Core, 40k and Exodus episodes were simply awesome and I'd absolutely watch series dedicated to each of them. Regarding the Concord episode, yeah, didn't hate it, to my surprise.

I was kind of late to the game when it comes to Spocks beard, only really listed to them for the first time 3 years ago. So I don't have a stronger connection to the Neal era of their music than any other. I completely agree Beware of Darkness is top tier, not that impressed with Snow on the other hand. I really think NDV's albums are a bit underrated, and Nick by far my favorite singer they've ever had; What holds that era back is inconsistent songwriting. I've got mixed feeling about the Ted Leanord era albums.... I tend to get bored with those quickly. There are some tracks on Oblivious Particle that I keep coming back to though.

@@SimplyNerdy I have been listening to them for a long time. Train of Thought was the first album I was introduced to. Since then, I have loved listening to them share some of the best rock music ever made by some of the best musicians ever! Systematic Chaos is probably my favorite album. I am also very happy that Mike Portnoy is back. I have been following his work very closely since he left and he did a lot of great stuff with the Winery Dogs and some other individual projects that were some of my favorites.

That's amazing! Yeah, each musician is just mind-blowingly proficient at that they do. I was introduced to Scenes From A Memory back in high school, and have followed them since. Also, I've followed Mike Portnoy for many years as well, including his work with Neal Morse, Transatlantic, etc. You'll have to stay tuned for our upcoming full discography review in the near future!

Holy cow, I've listened to this song a lot lately, and it's SO GOOD! I've also watched the video along with the music, and there is SO MUCH MORE to unpack than I could've thought. That transition at 08:00 makes a lot more sense when you see the video. The juxtaposition of the bluesy/jazz section that plays-- as well as the pictures displayed-- paint this story of the soldiers drowning out their inner noise with gambling, drinking, etc. So much depth and complexity to these themes, as is expected with these giants of prog metal. Nine Sols not being nominated is a crime alongside Sheepy. Maybe being PC only didn't give them the same reach the other games had. DLC content was probably included because Sony had already paid for Concord to be nominated. They needed to fill a slot.
