However, Vallalar went beyond these scriptures, calling the Vedas and Agamas 'mere garbage' because they don’t reveal the true nature of God or how to attain that divine state. He revealed that Arutperunjothi, who exist in the form of Grace-Light, is the eternal, formless, and all-pervading God, surpassing traditional deities (mentioned in Vedas and other religious sects) such as Brahman, Vishnu, and Rudra, who possess limited powers and are merely manifestations of the eternal light of God, whom he referred to as "Small Atoms." He emphasized that Arutperunjothi is the ultimate reality, and can be realized only through compassion, love for all creation, and selfless devotion, beyond rituals and dogma. Vallalar's teachings focus on merging with this infinite light of grace to attain liberation and ultimately, oneness with the Divine.
