Any of the really impressive paintings are carefully skipped. No Rembrandts, Rubens, Caravaggio or any other greats. This is not an Art Walk of a museum, it's a personal preference list.

That's a beautiful river walk. I was stationed in the US Coast Guard there on Mt Elliot at about 10:00 min in the video about 1990. It didn't look anything like it does now. Thanks.

Always meant to do that walk. Now I'm retired and moved away so I really appreciate your video..

Why does it appear so deserted? Isn't Detroit the most populated city in Michigan?

Beautiful place. I dont understand people who are always negative about Detroit.. The buildings riverside are offices or apartments? Thanks for the video!!!!
@WalkingForwardGlobal6 ай бұрын
From what I can see, they are mostly apartments and condos. I even thought about what it would be like to just buy a condo and live in this very nice place.

If you are going to be on Belle Isle, by all means go see the Oudolf Garden of Detroit. It is next to the conservatory and beside the tower. It is world class perennial garden and not to be missed.

I missed that one. Thanks for telling me. Will go next chance.

Really enjoyed my trip with you ....I Love to ride my trail bike, usual trips are 5-10 miles, but due to my increasing age (77), I hesitate to go on the riverwalk. But due to the lack of vehicular traffic ( my biggest fear) I am seriously considering it! Thank You!

You are welcome. If you decide to bike it, stay safe and enjoy the view.

If you're ever in the Tampa area during the Winter or Spring months,you might want to check out the Riverwalk there,the Pier across the bay from Tampa in St. Petersburg is awesome also.

Love this video! Thanks! Definitely perfect for preparing me to bike with my family on our upcoming trip to Mackinac Island. First time on bikes so that we can make it all around the Island for the first time. Previously walked a portion of the island on foot.

You are welcome! I knew this long video may not get lots of clicks but will be useful for someones who are interested in knowing what it will be like biking around the island. I hope you will have a sunny day. I did not get that but still really enjoyed it.

Thank you so much for making this video! I've been so confused on where and how the Riverwalk connects to Belle Isle and this answered my question. Seems as if you went on the most perfect day as well, beautiful.
