I've seen a lot of bad reviews for the store bought brands of sealcoat like Latex-ite, Black Jack, Henry and others. A lot of reviews where the product washes away with rain or starts peeling right up a few months. What do you recommend or what have you had the best experience with?

Thanks for the comment and query. I used Latex-ite Optimum and Latex-ite Trowel Patch. I say they both worked well. My drive way was very weathered. Almost all was solid. Not a lot of cracks. No oil stains. I power washed before applying. Patched first and sealed last. The most critical thing to do is clean it. The better the cleaning the better the adhesion. If your driveway is pretty flat, I suggest you use a soap and stiff broom, then aggressively rinse it off for best results.

@martyplecki7567 well up date .. runs , but after a few tries smashing the gas .. then like it bogs , idles great.. so I purchased carb cleaner .. hopefully few sprays .. should clear up .. hopefully. remember I thought this unit would take mix gas .. I was wrong . straight gas .. so im guessing I gotta clear out the oil in the carb

Thanks for the video. Can it be used as blacktop crack filler to fill the crack and shallow gap? Also can it be used as driveway sealer to coat the whole asphalt driveway?

My driveway was badly weathered. For the big cracks I used a filler first, then, for the small cracks, gaps and the rest of the driveway, I used the sealer. I think this answers your question.

@martyplecki7567 Ай бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. I just saw your comment. There may not be marks anywhere, but take the spark plug out and look for the piston coming up as you rotate the engine, or put a straw in the hole and watch for the piston to be at the top of the stroke. When there, both intake and exhaust valves should be closed: The rocker arms will be just slightly loose. If that is the case, your timing is OK. If not, reposition the timing belt.

Thanks for posting sir. Just purchased a new 2023 side x side GE refrigerator from a clearance warehouse. Im a DYI guy. It turns on lights up, fans come on but neither freezer or refrigiration cools. After testing ive determined the compressor tests out good, capacitor tests good but overload relay is most likely bad. So ive ordered a new capacitor and overload relay. Hopefully itll fire up once those parts arrive and are installed. 😂 Im a bit nervous til then. These tasks can be either frustrating or satisfying. Thanks again for posting. Happy fixing!

Is the Roybi still working? I have one that is similar with similar symptoms. Checking the youtoob for training…it was an inherited piece that doesn’t seem well cared for. I’ll probably start at spark arrestor and go from there.

Yes it is. If yours cranks with the cord, there is oil in the crank case and the belt does not come off the pulley, you should be able to get it to run without many problems. Good luck:-)

Very true but they’re rechargeable 500 to 1000 times even if you had to recharge them 10x to be the same as disposable batteries they’re still severely cheaper overall and a lot more stable in the output. In other words they won’t weaken as much throughout the charge life as disposable batteries will. And idk where you found them for $6 but Amazon has a 4 pack for around $10

Good one, Marty! Appliance diagnostics are one of my favorites. Question, though. Can the WD-40 keep magnets from sticking to my fridge?
@martyplecki7567
@martyplecki7567 9 ай бұрын
Tim, Glad to see you watching:-) There is a lot to be said about Stainless Steel, but to keep it short: Some SS are magnetic some are not. If your fridge is magnetic, WD40 will not stop the magnet from sticking. The film is too thin. But it might be slippery enough for what ever you are sticking to the fridge to slide some. If that happens wipe with a damp cloth and that should help. I have some more vids coming:-)

I would charge the battery, check voltage mark date and volts. If it looses more than 0,5 volts in a month, I would recycle them and replace. In my experience, batteries that will not hold a charge are not worth the effort to try to revive, so I will not be making a vid about that:-) If there is zero volts and charging does not bring the volts off of zero, view my videos for a way to check if the safety on the plus side of the battery is tripped and reset it. For SCUBA lights, I would strongly consider replacing the Halogen bulbs with LEDs.

There are 3 problems with this trimmer. 1. the timing belt will jump/slip. Fix is to remove belt, stick screwdriver in plug hole and set crank to TDC then reset top cog to TDC mark and reinstall belt. 2. If the belt is old and/or stretched, replacement requires dropping oil pan, removing coil, then hammering crankshaft out to remove the belt. 3. The camshaft journal for the camshaft bushing/bearing is cast into the head... so it cannot be replaced. To check, grab the timing belt cog and see if it wiggles... if it does there's a good chance the camshaft journal bushing/bearing is compromised and this will cause the belt to continually jump/slip on the cog. Do #3 first... if there is any play.. toss the trimmer...

Sorry, Jon, I usually reply right away, mostly because I don't get that many views or comments.....yet:-) Anyhow, just thinking out loud about your broken bakelite mount, if it is not completely shattered, Epoxy might hold it together: Epoxy is fuel proof. When things that take a lot of punishment, like yours break on me, I wrap some about .3 mm copper wire around the perimeter and tighten it before the epoxy cures, then spread some epoxy over the wire and bakelite body to keep it all in place and from un raveling. If you look at the gray choke lever on the power head in this video, you will notice it has an off white substance over part of it. That is epoxy with wire under it. I repaired it that way because I knew it would be a "hard to find" part. Also the original broke because it is too weak for the application. Where as my repair is way stronger. Thanks for the comment, and I hope this helps a fellow fixer:-)

Hi, do you have any experience with 2011 BMW 750 or Mercedes S400 hv 128v 35 packs , 3.6v each . 3 cells dead , can they be restored or been replaced ‘ all glue together . Thank you
@martyplecki7567
@martyplecki7567 Жыл бұрын
You have probably found a solution already. But, what I would add is: If you can get the cells out, try to charge them. If they hold the charge for a couple of weeks, probably not if you say they are dead, then they are not dead. If they don't hold a charge for longer than a couple of weeks trying to "restore" them is a waste of time. All the videos with folks saying they can restore dead or weak batteries are wishful thinking:-)
