I used to live in Santa Monica years ago,I was a renter with rent control it was basically affordable, but not any more I guess,still a beautiful area to be in only wish I could afford to buy there one day!😊

NAR did not negotiate lower commissions!! It has always been true, each agent choses their own fees to charge clients & it’s always negotiable with their clients! This doesn’t mean that buyer’s agents have to take a financial hit to their income, did you bother to even ready the lawsuit or settlement?!! If you’re going to automatically lower our income how about we don’t have to pay any taxes on what we earn since you have decided to reduce our income?????

Thanks for this. I grew up in Santa Monica in the 1960s and 1970s. Lived in Ocean Park on Ashland Ave. above Lincoln, Appian Way near the beach, and Pearl St. near 11th street. I have fond memories of Santa Monica and think about returning once in a while. Hope my old friends are well.
