She did great job, but the original - russian dub is truly exceptional. Never heard such realistic conversations, as if they are talking right next to you, not acting but really being them.

I thought this game was lost. I made a post on Reddit to see if anyone knew what this game was, and they did. I found the Wikipedia article and, experimental game is definitely the right way to explain this game. This game was on my sister's old DS. It doesn't work anymore, but when it did. This game puzzled me, why was it so small and why did it have a passage game about life and then your character dying?

On DS? How? Through its web browser?

@@ArtLike I'm not sure, but I used to play the game on my sister's Nintendo DS, it got there somehow. Not sure how, but it did.

The music complements the game in such a unique way, it sets the tone and vibe of some scenes in a way that no other soundtrack has before. It doesn't leave the mind of the listener even after the game experience is done.

Very true. It’s a big reason why I reached out to LudoWic and asked him for an interview. And his audio setup is SICK! Super nice guy too! 😀

Absolutely loved this game, the audiovisual part but also the narrative and philosophical symbolism. Themes of nature and rebirth, cycles and death. Gameplay was also smooth and combat fun. Good game 😊

POST VOID would had benefitted a lot considering it's themes of being constantly interrupted in life by making it clear that you are working full-time job for a dystopian corporation that wants you to kill disobiedent citizens as a super soldier. You can complete it in under 10 minutes and lose all progress once that happens in true roguelike fashion... but what if it was roguelite? Those genres exist as a response for limited amount of level layouts in video games but roguelike has a major weakness of deleting all progress and stats, at best saving them as a score report of sort but it can't be accessed anymore. In general, I noticed that all video games that sell the best have at least one of the following traits: * They make playing as criminal with pseudo-realistic mechanics super fun, which is GTA 5 and RDR 2. * They let players express themselves creatively and construct their own custom stuff as a game mechanic, which is Minecraft, Factorio and GMod. * They give you a vibe of full time job and working not to starve, which is Papers Please and Lethal Company, the former has endless mode. POST VOID could belong here. * They are an ultra fast dopamine abuser, enough said. POST VOID could belong here but it abuses senses even more. * They let you feel more or less realistically as real life soldier, which is ARMA series, CoD series and stuff like World of Tanks. Only if your audience is very male dominated. * If your target audience is female (which is most likely not) and you have a lot of budget, it's either going to be Match-3 or farming simulator game. Keep in mind that Stardev Valley didn't have considerable budget but broke through anyway for being a quality homage to a classic Harvest Moon series. * Now that we are on paying homages, if a famous video game series no longer gets new quality entries or no entries at all, you can make a homage to it that outright surpasses it, which is what Pizza Tower did to Wario Land.

Much love to the team for bringing this game to the world (and for putting together these interviews!). I was absolutely obsessed with this game, from art, to sound, to the philosophy embodied in the texts as well as mechanics of the game - it was an incredibly deep and moving experience. And what beauty!

I met William at PAX East 2013 or 2014 and played, I suppose that very early version of Manifold Garden. I was instantly so hooked and just wanted to play this game! Of course, it took many years to be ready. When it finally came out, for me, it more than delivered, despite the years of hype that I had developed around it. It was much more than a gaming experience; it blew my mind (kinda literally). It's great to hear how much consideration was given to the player's experience. It was more than just using a set of mechanics that were "cool" and sticking them in a superficial environment. Will really took it to the next level and crafted a very special experience. I wish more people would play it and experience it for themselves.

Playing this game in my teens revealed to me how I would behave if my wife died before me. We were walking along one moment, and then she was a headstone in the next moment, as suddenly as deaths sometimes are. I tried to continue walking right, but when I saw her headstone approach the left, I knew that it would be lost in that haze of memories and I would not be able to go back there and see her anymore. i ended up standing still next to her headstone so that when I died, mine would me next to hers.
