Well, I’ve been sick for the last few days so anything is possible, but yeah they’re still up. Seriously though, they did recently merge cobalt and miller, and there are rumors of more merges in the future.

I do, but not all the time and not every time is going to end up in the video edit. When I started playing I used to zoom/ADS way too much and was literally dying before I could get the gun up to my face. The time and movement penalties (60% movement speed reduction for the Torq-9+heavy barrel) are made worse by my slow reflexes, so I try to not trade mobility for accuracy when a target is well within the hip-fire cone. That said, I can see where engagements like the one at 01:16 might have been a trade if I went ADS, but I think overall my time is better spent trying to focus on burst-firing and ammo/reload management. (and ranging moving targets, and vehicle play, and just about everything else in this game)

Yea, you can see him throw that mine. I must have just skirted it when I drove up, then spun a bit to put my ass pointed right at it. If there's a mine, I'll find it.

Infiltrator class has cloaking as a trait. There are 3 primary types of cloak, hunter, stalker and nano-armor. Hunter and Nano-armor are timed, but allow you to use rifles. Stalker only runs out if you move for too long without pausing, but you cannot use rifles. Each type of cloak has various levels that can improve their effectiveness but it's never 100% invisible. There are also a lot of implants across multiple classes that allow for temporary or less effective cloaking after certain actions.

You say this, but what you’re not seeing is that for every 7min video I post, there are 2hrs 23 minutes of deleted footage where I’m playin’ like a fool and/or actively feeding the enemy. My squadmate is the real player, I just try to keep up and stay out his way. In all seriousness, though, I’m not sure how frequently PlanetSide will get played until the new devs get things under control. We played this week to take part in the 4x XP event, otherwise we have some non-shooters keeping our attention.

I was legit surprised to get the kill. Especially after the second shot. I was about to log out and thought “Eh, why not?” 😆 It’s clearer in the wide shot that they literally just jumped down there, so they weren’t AFK. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt that I caught them checking their map.

I’ve only been playing since ‘19. Since then there’s been a rework of Esamir. A new continent with boats and underwater combat. Some less-extensive reworks of the terrain in certain areas of the other maps. New weapon attachments. Some bases were converted into a sort of capture-the-flag objective. Which has already been reworked again. Bastions have been reworked. There’s an upcoming rework for sunderer slots with focus on making them a bit more durable without completely having to sacrifice utility. POPs are way down and the IP has been sold to a different developer, so the future of the game is even more in question than ever. I’m sure there are way more updates since 2015 I’m not even aware of.

Sorry for the late reply. Life got busy this week. We play on Emerald on PC. It seems like Sweeper HUD has become slow to ID mines lately, but then if it worked 100% of the time, I wouldn’t be able to complain about my Outfit leader being my No. 1 killer.

Yeah, that first hour of Friday on Hossin was a personal best, and I got nothing but the FISU record to show for it. Recursion didn’t catch it either because….. The last time i played as that TR alt was on my laptop and I never added the profile to my new rig. This session might have been a little better, but I broke my own rules of engagement too many times, with predictable results.

It's all in the edit. Your videos prove I do a lot of bitching, usually about my own poor reload timing or the lack of medics playing their role. I end up muting myself in my edits a lot because I can't seem to string more than 2 words together without getting tongue-tied while the action is happening. I really think I'm losing grasp on the spoken word. Also, your 100+ additional SPM and your many, many, beetle and black camos paint a much different picture sir. Look how long it's taking me to finish the AR directive. If this video shows anything it's that if you put me in a room and send me legit newbs and overconfident loud-mouths, one at a time, I might come out on top more than not. I'm still making a lot of mistakes. That's assuming I don't get in my own way.

Thanks! To be honest ~4 years of mainly running the NS-11 variants, my 45yr old reflexes/eyes, and taking extended beaks from the game are hurting me more than anything else. But I’ll take a look at a few of my loadouts and see if removing the suppressor helps. I’m always a bit cautious about giving up the last little bit of map avoidance, especially while my squad-mate runs with a suppressor or is playing nearby as an infil. Hate to draw attention to us more than my mag-dumping does.

Lol. I can’t say much about that.. Their SPM is just a little bit higher than mine, and mine’s not all that great.

Despite their lack of effort, they managed to keep the territory for the whole alert. That just tells me that the vast majority of the attending VS had an edging kink last night.

I'd say "it's never too late to jump back in..." but i can't say that with a clear conscience. At least not until we see what the upcoming AMS changes do to the game.
