How you were able to fit 20 regular pint jars into this canner is crazy to me. It is said that approximately 19 jars can be filled into a 921 canner, but wow, they're all really close together. Does it even matter that any of the jars are touching? Great way to get a lot canned in one go, but I was afraid they might crack if touching. Would love to hear you thoughts on this. Also, I'm trying to figure this out, but how much water did you put in your canner to process all these jars? This must be a silly question because I've been looking everywhere, and clearly 2-3" of water is not the answer because that covers even quart jars when they're put in the canner. Edit: Actually, looks like I'm wrong. 19 jars in total

Yeah 19 jars fit, and 2 to 3 inches of water is ok. You do not need to cover them like you do with water bath canning, you just need it there for the steam.

There are slides that pull out, then you put the coin in. Very nice so you can see both sides of the coins.

Very nice collection of Mercury dimes. Looked like you have a very nice coin collection end of discussion. If the rest are anything like the 1st 2 binders of Mercury dimes are, that is. I have a question for you about a Mercury dime if you might know any info or direction to find info would be greatly appreciated! Has any Mercury dime ever been found with no stamp embossing on the reverse side and no side band groves around the outside edge. The non stamped reverse side just looked like a swirl of metal & the outside edge of the dime should have grooves running from the front side to the back side but, a dime without the side groves. Don't remember the date and the mint mark would have been on the reverse side also. I found this dime back in the early1980's in my pocket change. Had the Mercury dime for some 25 yrs, before stole it. I was just curious if you knew of a minting error like this before on any year Mercury dime? Sorry I can't give you anymore info than that. This Mercury dime got stolen back in 2007. If I remember correctly. Well any assistance or direction for me to find the info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! Gregory D Muse

How about the thermal consideration? Do you transfer the meat to hot jars or let it cool down so everything is room temperature. Did you load the canner with room temperature water? How do you determine how much pressure you need for an area?

We take the warm meat and put it into warm jars (either warm watter in them and dump it, or on low in the oven, both work) then we put them into warm water in the canner. As for the pressure there is a chart in the manual for your elevation. Or im sure you can find that online.

The All American pressure canner 921 arrived end of Sept, which I'll be trying out today for the first time. The second canner is the Instant Pot Max 6, which I got earlier in the year, but yet to try it out. I need a transformer for the watts or Voltage. I bought the Max for canning purposes only. My first canning item will be chicken breast. My elevation is 52m (170.6 feet). Would it matter if I set the pressure canner to 62m (200ft)

I just bought. 921 all American - thank you for the video !! Very helpful ! I know it’s been 2 yrs, but wanted to follow up regarding the electric stove top. Any issues ? Every time I bring it up on other homestead channels, I get burned in effigy - they’re saying never do it on a glass burner 🤨 Thoughts ?
