Idk how this came onto my feed, but I watched it lol. Yeah, it’s tough to review horror flicks, especially old ones cuz most people don’t realize that they were probably *original back in the day, where as “now” they seem to be just cliche or “typical”. But oh gosh, that Trap movie…🤦🏻‍♀️holy cow…idt it could’ve gotten much more worse than m.Night just trying to promote his daughters ‘talents’. Er, lack of. I mean…she’s “ok”..but nothing is worse than it being her major acting/singing/whatever debut where she overacts to no end throughout her father’s entire movie. Not to mention the story line, “maybe” could have been better with a few more rewrites- by not trying to keep the daughter in every scene to no end. If she doesn’t make it after this (😳) she needs to maybe rethink her future. The nepo baby thing is so real. lol. Idk if you’ve seen the Wailing…but that’s probably the best film in this genre- all time. MY favorite movie in the whole world (besides Harold &Maude, which became my favorite at 4yo)…is the Ninth Configuration. While it’s not a horror flick…it is definitely a cerebral experience, about faith…from every possible direction. I believe it’s a serious, one-of-a-kind masterpiece. I haven’t seen a film with so much dialogue since this one, and don’t think we probably will again, as it isn’t easy to do such. One has to be quite the phenom of a writer, and there seems to be a bit of shortage of talent these days of those. Anyhow, I’ll check out a few of your other videos. 👍

Enjoyed the review. TerrorVision is a long favorite of mine, but it is odd. It’s definitely so bad it’s good. And Diane Franklin was a tonic for tired eyes back in the day.

Definitely share your feelings on M. Night. Love the Parent Trap idea. And also, you need to freaking copyright “Waiting to care.” That would make an awesome title to just about anything: Book, movie, band, anything.

as someone that LOVED deadpool v wolverine...i totally get why some people would dislike it or even hate it. this film was pretty much fan service to marvel fans and hardcore followers of the news and insider info for these films. the movie was light on story, and im sure many of the jokes would go over the heads of people that dont watch these films...so what is there for a casual movie goer to enjoy? not much. btw that cameo about "this is the guy" you mean blade, right? damn right hes the man lol.

Y’know… I get your perspective of “if ur a marvel fan, watch this you’ll love it”… but as someone who missed 95% of the inside/marvel/comic/director jokes, this movie was so accessible and funny!! But @CinemaCabinet said it best I think, this was an action packed film with awesome humor, an awesome butt-heads to I respect and understand you relationship with Deadpool and Wolverine, and they took the humor juuust far enough without disrespecting the characters and universes previous. The cameos and surprises were amazing, even with all of the trailers and reveals before the release of the film there were still so many surprises

When a movie is depressing and a little upsetting but you sit through it waiting for the scary part aaaaaand roll credits. This probably wouldn't have been my kind of movie anyway (I'm rarely into the slow build atmospheric horror though I respect its place in the genre), but I think the lack of payoff would have added so much more to the frustration.

I think your criticisms are spot on. I fell a little closer to the audience score than you did, but overall it didn't quite live up to my expectations. I think a big part of where you fall in this movie is your reaction to Nicolas Cage's portrayal. Personally I found it a bit over the top, which I think kept the film from being truly great. However I really enjoyed the other actors. I can't help but feel this movie would have been better with the supernatural elements removed; the tonal shift between a crime thriller and a supernatural horror movie didn't quite work for me. All that said, I think horror fans should definitely give it a watch when it hits streaming.

@@CreepinitReel The killings are real and this has even been confirmed by the author of the book. The point is that Patrick is desperate to be special, to set himself apart from his peers and the banal yuppie lifestyle, for which he has a deep-seated disdain, but everyone around him is so self-involved that they barely notice him at all. No matter what he does, he’ll always be seen as a ‘boring, spineless lightweight’. He fails to find meaning or sense of self in any of it and this is his doom

If you look up USS Indianapolis men of courage Nic cage was also in the film came out 2016 before he was casted in willys wonderland Both films Nic cage was in didn't fit in my opinion but uss Indianapolis men of courage is poorly made film.
