Had this procedure done 4 Days ago feel worse now then I did before,I felt like they were hammering my back apart. Had this done before while under sedation and was fine the next day. I kept asking them when is this horrible pain going to away. I hope I never have to go through this again

What started as just tingling in my left hand and foot spread gradually over just 7 days to both arms, legs, part of my face and also added heart palpitations, lightheadedness and clumsiness because my legs feel so heavy. My muscles are so sore and I also experience burning itch sensation like when you get a sunburn and then scratch it by mistake, that feeling is what occurs when the numbness subsides but then it comes back and it is very bothersome. I went to the ER twice. They didn’t do much given my health issues you think they would. I have hypokalemia and it’s improving since Wednesday but they’re referring me to both rheumatology and neurology because I have not taken care of myself truly in the last few years. These are my diagnoses that I’ve had for many years… Lupus (SLE) Complex migraines Arthritis Carpal tunnel syndrome Ocular hypertension Ulcerative colitis / GI problems It’s a lot, but not once have I ever experienced near full body numbness. They didn’t do an EKG for my palpitations, didn’t even admit me to do an MRI. Who knows how long I will have to wait to see those specialists but I WILL NOT STOP fighting to get seen asap. It’s not something easy to go through. I’m. Stay at home mother to our 3 kids and two of them have Autism. So I have a lot on my plate.

My burning pain is everywhere. Face chest arms legs. No matter how much I search it’s always categorized by body part or peripheral neuropathy with no known cause or fibro which it isn’t. Nice, but you should show how the needle is inserted into the bone by the surgeon tapping rather sharply on top of a metal plate to get it into the vertebra. I had a kyphoplasty done two days ago and under light sedation I was conscious enough to suddenly feel something striking my spine repeatedly, with some pain. I was quite alarmed and cried out, although I heard someone assure me I was asleep! Afterwards, I was too groggy to speak about it but wanted an explanation which no-one could provide; the operating doctor did not come see me after the procedure. Only when I went looking at videos of the procedure did I find only one that showed the fairly substantial shaft of the trocar with a flat metal plate on top and a surgeon tapping it with a hammer. That clip immediately answered my question as to what I had felt. I feel this should be more fully explained to patients, since under light sedation it's always possible that the patient will gain some awareness. Otherwise, this is a fine video.

It started with a tingling in my neck which spread as numbness in my left arm that started becoming so bad that I couldn't sleep.
