Hi, has it happened to you that you follow your komoot planned route on the wahoo and it suddenly changes directions if your route meets up your getting back route? Going from km 3 to km 50 for example. Happens to me and its so annoying

Hi, Feels like I’m sitting on the saddle with uneven sit bones. My left sit bone is taking most of the pressure than the right in the saddle. I’ve tried rotating the hips forward, seems to help with the even-ness, but still seems off. Thankfully no saddle sores. Any guidance?

Lynskey r140 here. Super reliable and smooth ride. 11 years and going strong. The chain wears out. I replace it. The tires wear out I replace them. The brake pads wear out I replace them. It gets many miles and miles and still rides like when I got it. Made a few small upgrades over the years. Titanium is well worth the cost. Even 11 years in, I hope this will hopefully be my last bike.

I’ve had carbon bikes, alloy bikes and earlier in my riding steel. I now ride a well known Dutch titanium bike which is by far the best machine I’ve ever had the pleasure to ride. Guess that would class as a long term test of materials!

How heavy is the frame itself? Looks like an M frame? I am a L frame person. I also have a carbon canyon now looking for a titan frame for endurance cycling, road and gravel. And it is really hard to find something perfect for all my needs. . If i go for gravel i would like to be able to install 38/40mm tires. If i ride road i would like to be light etc. Anyways.. Your bike is great! Cheers
@grantritchie29 күн бұрын
I’m not sure the weight of the frame itself but this build is just over 8kg, so by no means heavy. It’s Medium. Titanium will never be the outright lightest, but that’s the compromise you make for the other benefits.

1996 TdF, rode up the Telegraph. Heard reports of people getting off going up to the Galibier and making fires in the snow to keep warm so we stayed put in the cafe at the top of the Telegraph and waited for the riders …. Who went past in team cars due to the conditions. They only rode the climb to Sestriere… the now infamous stage win by Bjarne Riis . We had to navigate a freezing descent back to the bus… great memories.

@TheBrieucBАй бұрын
This is the issue with the Col that leads to a village, or are there to path from one side to another, especially during July and August. Telegraph off season is nice (much less car) as nothing happen in Valoire. Lautaret is always busy as the road is the one going across the valley. You can't escape the smell of petrol but at least you have a cycle lane. If you're on the St Michel de Maurienne, you have col such as Lacet de Montvernier (Gorgeous & no cars) and the Col de Chaussy, Croix de fer, and Madeleine are good / Better picks.
@grantritchieАй бұрын
Yea totally agree! Some of our favourite rides were the balcony routes that are off the main climbs (like those in my last video). Would like to do Madeleine and Croix de fer, maybe next year!

I have only ridden the "Lauteret Side" of Galibier - but same experience traffic! None the less i would ride again (unlike ADH) - one day i will go back and do the "Telegraphe Side" - now go back and watch Pogacar descend the same side as you and marvel at how the heck he put 30-40secs into Vingegaard. Well done - You really did deserve pizza. Look forward to part 4.
@grantritchieАй бұрын
Yea we nearly did that instead but had heard the telegraphe side was better. Would be nice to go up and over the next time. Hahaha I know, these guys are on another level. I reckon I could have gone faster without the traffic 😉

Enjoyed the ride along from the US. How was the Titanium to do all of that climbing on? Did you lighten it up? Curious because I am getting one soon but I am too heavy to climb but do rolling hills and some light gravel over here. Glad you got to check off a bucket list ride. Well done.😅

It was great, the other two had slightly lighter carbon framed bikes but when you’ve got food, tools and 2x 800mm bottles of water, weight becomes less of an issue. I loved riding it out there!

Hi Grant, great video. Is there any chance of your bike getting stolen? Maybe by someone getting off before you. Can you lock it in the stand?

Possible issues: too wide handlebars(for road), cleats too much in front, too high front end, seat too far back and too long crank. Is stem plug supporting carbon in correct place if there is spacer on top?
@DaveNicoll-p3lАй бұрын
I hate indoor trainers, yes, I have got one (a good set up actually) but I am bored after 10 minutes and long for the open road...so...I have got myself a second hand Enigma Etape Titanium, full mudguards and am now sourcing winter kit so no matter what the UK weather throws at me I can get out, safely of course.
@keessonnema2 ай бұрын
One bikefitter tells us to put the cleats all the way back, another tells us to put it right behind the mark of the ball of the foot and now they tell us to put it just in front. In my opinion in front of this mark = numb thoes for the rest of your life.

What tools you should carry in your bicycle should take into account the types of adjustments or repairs you are likely to have to make while riding and how inconvenient it would be for you to be unable to repair your bike, were it to malfunction. Don't build a tool kit trying to plan for every and all possible repairs, unless you are the sort of person who goes riding far from civilization. Most bicyclists do not. The farthest I am ever likely to ride from my home is about 4 mi/6.5 km whilst shopping, and only about 1 mi on my fitness rides, which are limited to my immediate neighborhood. Both of my bicycles have 47-50 mm tires, and I haven't had a puncture in over 10 years. I carry neither a patch kit nor an inflator. I am far more likely to suffer from an inadvertently loosened brake cable. What I carry is 3, 4, 5, and 6 mm long handle Allen wrenches, as these are the most likely bolts on my bicycles which might need tightening, loosening, or adjustment, a #2 Phillips screwdriver, and a double open-end wrench with 8 mm and 10 mm ends. If I can't fix a problem with those, it's not an incredibly long walk home. Don't get suckered into buying fold-up multi-tools for bicycles. Choose separate tools, and only take the ones that actually fit your bicycle.
