How you say these shades growing in shade when these shrubs are shown in full sun...
@iselinursery51692 ай бұрын
There is a certain amount of flexibility depending on where things are grown. Where we grow the plants in Western oregon, the sun is not as strong. But they would be very happy in a shade situation.

Hi there. That is a witches broom of a Taylors Sunburst Pine. We are producing it and it still needs a name. I expect it will be out on the market in the next year or two.

I bought one of these at probably the worst time the buds were just about to open but the uk weather has been all over the place it’s still alive but it’s not happy and despite all my research, I don’t know what to do to help it thrive
@iselinursery51692 ай бұрын
I am not certain. We have one in the garden and I am told it does not get enough water in the summer to be happy. I do not have a lot of personal experience growing this plant in particular.

IsELi, guys: what are the temperatures for deciduous plants 🌱 to change leaf 🍁 color
@iselinursery51692 ай бұрын
Usually that is a function of daylight hours and temperature combo. A combination of temperatures between 32-45 degrees F at night and bright sunny days are peak conditions for trapping sugars in leaves, allowing anthocyanins to develop and enhance color.

@@joeym4253 I was a bit frustrated that the release was pushed back to next spring. Apparently there was a huge delay with the government agency involved in trademark.

Yes, this is our exhibition garden to show customers how each cultivar looks in maturity. It is also for use to propagate new plants and as a memorial to Jean Iseli who started the company and passed away in 1986. There is a lot of work that goes into pruning our plants and making sure they look ideal for their particular habit.
