Truly an inspiring video that provides practical advice and tips for all A-Level students, but we would like to add some details that are not covered here. Knowing your syllabus is very important, especially for private candidates. Private candidates must keep track of their own progress and ensure they have covered every aspect of the topic. 1. Bear in mind that some textbooks might be flawed and may not include everything you need. 2. Always use the specification provided by the exam board, and ensure you are reading the correct specification. Exam boards review and improve their specifications from time to time. 3. For A-Level Maths and Further Maths students, OCR and OCR-MEI have different specifications. Do not confuse them. Tools are also a decisive factor for your exams. As mentioned in the video, a CG-50 calculator is significantly more useful than the standard school-recommended fx-991EX (also known as ClassWiz). The CG50, with its clear instructions, will save a significant amount of time when attempting complex graph questions, sketch questions, and statistics questions. Therefore, a wise decision for any calculator-required A-Levels exam is to bring both a CG-50 and a ClassWiz. Regarding studying word-by-word, it depends on the subject you are studying. AS Level content for science subjects often requires memorizing definitions, and doing so in a word-by-word manner can help you avoid the risk of losing marks due to inaccurate definitions. For other concepts, drawing diagrams is a good method, especially since some exam boards award marks for it even if your written explanation isn't perfect. Utilizing past papers is also important, but not all exam boards provide candidates with their past papers, and some may even require you to be a teacher. Therefore, there are some perfect online resources available. The two most common A-Level revision websites are Save My Exams and Physics and Maths Tutor (It is not just for Physics and Maths, but other science subjects as well.) Save My Exams: www.savemyexams.co.uk/ Physics and Maths Tutor: www.physicsandmathstutor.com/ These websites offer more than enough exercises, notes, and past papers that you will need. For practical units, candidates must do some research on the universities they are aiming for and the exam board they are considering. Normally, universities will state that A-Level students MUST have their practical endorsement, but private candidates who can't will be excluded. Universities truly focus on your "practical skills," and a science student who doesn't know how to perform practicals can face significant challenges. Therefore, having a written alternative for international students is the safest choice, but always check the requirements of universities because they may vary. Overall, this is a useful video, and we thank you so much on behalf of the students who are still struggling with their A-Levels!

I thought you need to be over 13 years old to work ?
@Wesley_Wong Жыл бұрын
I guess that would depend on the country, and it definitely wouldn't be an issue for work experience, since most of the PS content is within 1-2 years before your application ie roughly 16-18 years old. Hope that helps!
