You know, I would imagine something sort of like this happening in a ending scene of A sword art online the movie 2️⃣ (that might not exist, but it’s just an idea I thought about)where Kirito and Asuna thank Sugou for the help he did for them and they friends on the virtual adventure and how Kirito and Asuna Focused their minds on reality and decide to forgive him and letting him know now he needs to forgive himself for everything he’s done in the past And the scene shows a calm relief of him for hearing that as he walks away with the police so that they could take him back to jail after the help he did for Kirito and Asuna & the team

@Emiliodelgado25 I think he's to self centered for that. He sees himself above everyone else. That's just his nature.
