I haven't returned back for the past 25 year's to Delhi. Nice to view the place of my birth again.

The houses look well maintained......... maybe they heard someone really scary was coming to town and they hid...... .clearly people who live in remote town live to a different tempo in and out take a video and make a lot of assumptions about living there.... It takes a special kind of person. who prefers to live in the country, than someone who lives in the city...

Bit hard to be a ghost town with people living there. It's had a small population of people for ages since the rail lines stopped. Mostly older people the houses and rent is very cheap. Mostly have to do their shopping and what not in Peterborough. That's another town doing it tough too but there's a few more amenities. Used to live there about 30 years ago

4:47 - That 1990 Ford Falcon GL wagon on the right has been there since the mid 2010s, gradually being stripped of any reusable parts.😢 (Rego last expired on 11/01/2009)

I love Clayton Bay, spent a few childhood holidays there. I recently camped in about the same spot at the caravan park where you are, spent the day kayaking down to Goolwa and back. The sound of the frogs in those reeds at night was peacefully hypnotic.

What a terrible shame it looks like a wonderful place to live. Lots of magnificent older buildings all relating to an old history.

That is not a ghost town. I thought it was illegal to fly a drone above homes in South Australia hmmmmmm?

I was waiting for a little description as to the town's history. Why it was set up? What drew its population? Why so many people moved away and when?

I believe that South Australia's narrow gauge and broad gauge railway systems met at Terowie. Passengers transfering to different gauge trains, freight yards and servicing of steam locomotives occured there.

@@JohnJoseph-xw5zkThat's Peterborough. It had a bogie exchange there. There's a plaque that claims Douglas MacArthur made the famous statement "I shall return" at the Terowie Railway Station though

Going by the shadows cast on the ground its early morning before anything is open, so of course it's deserted. It could also be Sunday morning. Things are not always as they seem.

I live near Terowie. You are not right and make assumptions. The town is usually deserted at any time of the day. "Its early morning before anything is open" is incorrect because there's normally only one thing that opens and that's the deli/post office. The people who live nearby stay at home and keep to themselves. "Things are not always as they seem" but in Terowie they are! Terowie is a place where many have gone to be invisible and opt out of society. Some have a particular habit or mental health issues.

@@MoiAussie1 ever lived next door to one? Endless smoke that is annoying and is cardiotoxic and carcinogenic. The smoke assaults and poisons the neighbours. Firepits should be banned. They are polluting, divisive, antisocial and they amount to harassment and bullying of the neighbours.
