I need you to go over magnesium. for eclamptic seizure, do you give Mag or versed first. my local protocols say mag first what does NREMT say about that can't find much on it. I think the answer might be if you are transporting and already have iv access then its mag, but if you dont then IN versed.
@rescueacademy105226 күн бұрын
@@ThomasTyree-o5y correct. Mag needs an IV. So if you don't have one established, stop the seizure with versed. Then administer the mag to reduce the chance of seizures starting back up.
@ThomasTyree-o5y26 күн бұрын
@@rescueacademy1052 thank you for responding. I also watched your video you already had on mag.

First I would do a trauma assessment then c-collar followed by smr as you stated then I would get first set of vitals before moving him just to establish a baseline then once we move him to the truck I would get another set and I would perform DCAP-BTLS and probably run a 12 lead to cover my bases on the cardiac side of things then I would transport oh yeah since his Spo2 was 87 I would put him on 2lpm of oxygen nasal cannula oh yeah I would do a rapid transport for a possible head bleed
