That looks great! The center really needed that. Purchased ikea shelves that are not yet up. The 12" width looks great on yours but the small plant room I have almost makes me feel I won't see the plants. Shelf width is about 11 3/4. So just ordered their smaller one. And they're so heavy. Love your bracket idea. Afraid the brackets from ikea I have won't hold. The shelves have quite some weight to them.

This was a such a helpful video. I see that you have a triostar stromanthe plant. How far would you suggest keeping it from a GE 9W grow light? I realized I put mine way too close and it has resulted in leaves curling, crisping and and yellowing. Would really appreciate your advice on this. She is currently in a 15 inch pot.

This is a tricky question for the complicated plant! I've found that my plants like that and/or Calathea plants do best grouped together and need the humidity big time. That'll help best with the brown leaves. Also maybe try not having the grow light directly on the leaves. It can't handle direct light and does best with med light. Like in a bright room w out direct sun if that makes sense! Let me know if it doesnt!

Hey, thank u for the video! How far away from and how many hours would you suggest I keep my pothos plant? It's the green heart shaped pothos and the grow light is a Sansi 36 watt

Pothos can really handle any light level. I’d keep the grow light a couple feet away for a couple hours a day. If you notice brown spots it may be too strong but they’re pretty hardy plants!

@@devinsonam thank u, I've kept them about 3½ish feet away from the light and I've left them there anywhere from 10-12 hours a day. I downloaded one of those light meter apps on my phone to measure lux and it's 6000-7000 lux at that distance

why people have a statue of buddah in the garden and indoor? it does not make sense!!! it has nothing to do with plants? is an idol !! Buddah did not create the natural environment nature God should be credited for the creation every living thing.Buddha is a statue that a man made that has no significance that is of beauty such as plants, is a dead cold statue .

Hello Devin, what height do you suggest between each shelves, are you ok with height you chose, if you look at it today as some time passed by? Plants probably grew little bit :) Right now I'm planning to put 2 shelves under each one and space between them is one thing I'm thinking about most..Thank you :)

I believe they ended up being about 11-12" apart. I like the height visually. I did start to run into some issues with plants that like to grow up esp on poles. So eventually I changed to smaller plants and vining plants. Hopefully that helps!
