It's easy for us to say God will see me through the storms of life and he will but human emotions or sins of the flesh are hard unless you're with people that are not tempting you or putting you in bad situations. I'm from NC, lived in Vermont for a year and I've never seen so much drinking in my life. Drugs I can't say about that I've never done drugs. The old saying is if you lay down with dogs you'll get up with fleas at least where I'm from NC is saying you have to stay away from things that would cause you to relapse. Easier said than done, I live alone and don't hangout with people who are into those things. I don't want to be with people who use fowl language either. Keep fighting each day Ben. Praying for you brother. 🫂💯💜

When you mentioned having feelings of shame because you’re divorced and realized, I am carrying shame over my divorce. I have been divorced since 2007 and have prayed for a wonderful Christian man to be part of my life and me his. Do feel often that I don’t fit in to singles or couples, which happens to be all but 3 of us. Funny, in prayer before class starts in church I was visiting and first time in this class and door opens and “ he” walked in and my heart fluttered and still does. But he is going through something major with a child so his attention is on that and the Lord. Didn’t mean to go on and on. God is enough but if He chooses to bless me with someone, I am excited.

I have been listening to The Light for several years now, and just wanted to say thank you to you ladies and everyone else at the station for all the encouragement (and humor!) y'all have given me. I really appreciate how you guys sometimes share something you're going through personally and then suggest a different way of looking at it that is more biblical rather than the way our culture would have us see it. I can always count on The Light to help me switch my focus from me and my problems and instead focus on Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you. God bless you all.
