These are all suburbs - none of them are actually neighborhoods in St. Louis. I grew up in Webster Groves and currently live in Tower Grove South (south St. Louis City)!

St Louis Missouri is my hometown and I have family members that are over in Illinois hopefully one they all can escape Illinois. The best part of St Louis is Wildwood if you had to live in St Louis. Overall St Louis is terrible Taxes Crime Violence The City is a tumor The F•••••g St Louis media is a••••••s KMOV CBS affiliate and KDSK NBC affiliate are big time criminals The people in the entire St Louis region votes blue 😔 The best thing I like about St Louis i'm 400 hundred miles away from St Louis out of St Louis airwaves to hear the St Louis news TV and radio Dexter 🧔👋

The title of this video should be “Top 10 cities in St. Louis Metro”. Saying 10 neighborhoods of St. Louis implies that the neighborhoods would actually be in the city of St. Louis

Buying a house in Maryland Heights was easy, selling it turned into a NIGHTMARE for my family. The city went after us for "code violations" that had existed in the house for probably decades and were ignored when the previous sold the house. Stay away from Maryland Heights.

Best neighborhood is east Walnut. Hands down

I was glad you gave an honorable mention to where I grew up in the Southhampton neighborhood many years ago. It should be more affordable but I will likely be surprised hearing even its home values today. For families I just cannot compare the city public school system of today to that which I grew up with many years ago but maybe their magnet schools are fine. Reputation is not the best. Many families choose to go to parochial schools in the city. I recommend Word of Life school in St. Louis Hills which is a Lutheran school across from Francis Park. All of us though went public including our own kids. My wife and I lived in a 4 family residence in St. Louis Hills the first 2 years after getting married. There certainly has been a lot of rahabbing of the older buildings in the city which is all very good. So many have left the city spreading out in the large metro area. I think tolerance for crime is the only concern for some of these fine neighborhoods not all that far from high crime areas. I have liked living in South County for many years now where our own family was raised. I also like living by a park and Grants Trail is a big plus for walking and bike riding.

The Summers and humidity are the worst aspects of St. Louis weather. Winters are generally relatively mild, especially compared to the past. As far as pizza goes, I love Imo's even though I'm not from here.

Crime in the city has gotten worse since this video was made, and the city's woke administration is doing nothing to address the problem. Beware.

I was born in U City, raised in Creve Coeur/Chesterfield, went to Fernwood Elementary, Parkway Central and Webster University, rented apartments in Lafayette Square, Kirkwood and Maryland Heights. I moved to Chicago in 1978 so a lot has changed. You might be interested to know my parents bought their 2400SF, 5BR home in 1963 for $28K and sold it in 1989 for $145K. Everyone thought they were crazy to buy in a corn field and said there will never be anything west of 270.

Newtown is nice. It is kind of ersatz urban, but if you like kind of urban suburban it is good. Houses are close to the street with front porches and it does encourage meeting your neighbors. They do have some activities and a nice lake.

Great to see some of the areas not usually mentioned in these types of videos. St. Louis is really great, I used to live in the city 30 yrs ago, lived elsewhere in the country and moved back . It gets a bad rap, but is a very diverse and culturally amazing place that has so much potential.

If I may make a suggestion, it might be helpful to leave on the screen which neighborhood you are talking about throughout each segment. You covered many neighborhoods and drifted a bit to talk about close features of other nearby neighborhoods. This made it a little difficult to follow along with which neighborhood you were covering at any given time. Even so, lots of great info!
