I've been trying to get back to MB for four years. Pray I make it after Labor Day.

One of my favorites. There's no wow factor, really...just a nice trail that passes thru 4 or 5 small towns/communities and serves up a slice of small town America.

How can I activate the data in the bottom of the screen for info about when a climb is inc and so on?
@finishstrongcycling2355 Жыл бұрын
The data graph on the bottom displays a rolling 10 minute record of the power zones and heart rate. You can activate it by pressing G on the keyboard or choosing the appropriate item on the in game action bar.

Hi James, thanx for your tips. Can you please let me know how I find those sprint segments in the different courses? How do I know that there will be a segment in x meters? Thank you, Matze
@finishstrongcycling23552 жыл бұрын
The only warning you will get in Zwift is when the leaderboard comes up on the left side. This gives you time to prepare (Sprint, KOM, etc.) . For sprint segments, your effort should include the extra time needed to hit the start of the segment at TOP speed. Ideally you don't want to be still accellerating at the start. The start lines are not very noticeable, so it may be a good idea to do a recon before the actual effort. You can also go on a website like Zwift Insider to scope out the segments on the course map. With so many worlds to ride in, this may be your best bet to find the segment most suited for you.

I'm here. How did God tell you to go eat breakfast?
@finishstrongcycling23552 жыл бұрын
It was while I was seeking God in my morning prayer when God spoke to me in my spirit. Prayer can be two way communication if we quiet ourselves enough from the busyiness of life to listen. Knowing and discerning God's voice requires us to know his character and his word. God's voice is always in agreement with his word, and I never recommend people blindly follow the voice of God without it being affirmed in other ways.
@sallyann9852 жыл бұрын
@@finishstrongcycling2355 by "always in agreement with his word" I suppose you're saying that God wouldn't ask you to do bad things so if you're hearing that it's not God. Do you actually hear a voice or is it a thought? All this sounds like I'm trying to make you question yourself but it's not the case I'm genuinely curious.
@sallyann9852 жыл бұрын
@@finishstrongcycling2355 second observation. Don't you think it's cruel for God to test you through leap of faiths? I'm just a tiny vulnerable human being and I can't afford to go endanger my life like that without any guarantee that it'll work out. You yourself has said that sometimes God has made you do things that challenge human reason, well, I don't think people should be put into the position to do that without God opening the doors for you first. But then it's not really faith anymore. Does he even forgive you if you don't leap?
@finishstrongcycling23552 жыл бұрын
@@sallyann985 Faith itself is a gift. The test of faith is like a classroom, not a firing squad. It's meant by God to increase our faith and help us live more aware of the spiritual reality in which we exist. It's never intended to be something that harms us. Remember I said God is the perfect father. A dad asking his child to jump into his arms in a scary pool when they can't swim may seem cruel to the child too, but we all know it is to help them to not be afraid and learn to swim. Tests of faith should be seen as stepping stones to help us believe him for much bigger things.
@finishstrongcycling23552 жыл бұрын
@@sallyann985 That's right, which is why it is important to understand God's word. I've never heard an audible voice but rather the voice of God for me has mostly been a thought in answer to a question asked in prayer. Sometimes it's a picture that comes to mind, or something from God's word that comes back to my rememberance in that moment. If I'm ever priviledged to hear an audible voice, It would be a rare blessing, but absolutely not necessary. We have God's word that is so rich in helping us know him and his character, we as believers don't need to be spoiled in such a way. The face to face conversations will come at an appropriate time, for sure though.

Sprinting is the bane of my Zwifting life. Dreadful lack of power when it counts. I notice you only jump up to hit the peak power then sit back down. I'm out of saddle the entire way. I can get a smoother cadence when seated, but my power is dreadful there. Out of saddle my form sucks -- my legs become a couple of pistons, stomp and pull. I can get a decent peak power, but within a few seconds that power plummets by over 200w even though my cadence is steady or actually increasing. Never been able to figure that out.
@finishstrongcycling23552 жыл бұрын
Often my Zwift sprint form is constrained by fatigue, which is why I sit sometimes after the initial kick. If you watch Zwift races, the game rewards higher peak power efforts during acceleration. Once you've hit your top speed, however, it takes less watts to maintain that speed. This is why my burst is on the front end of my sprint. It creates the greatest speed differental to minimize the chance of giving someone a lead out. To improve your sprint, practice 15 second sprints (300m) once a week. When I'm in Zwift, I like to pick a couple of sprint segments and try to get the jersey. Best wishes on your races!
@EnigmaticAnomaly2 жыл бұрын
@@finishstrongcycling2355 Ah, that makes some sense. Usually I drop into the 12 or 13 and just try to snap my cranks. Perhaps I should try to jump in the 14 or 15 for a higher peak, then downshift and give what's left in the legs.
@finishstrongcycling23552 жыл бұрын
@@EnigmaticAnomaly Once you pop your sprint, getting a higher peak will help for sure, then keeping it floored to the finish should give you better results. The other key element is timing, which comes with experience. I generally don't go first unless the distance is 200m or less.

Is it okay to race on zwift with unlisted rollers?
@finishstrongcycling23552 жыл бұрын
Typically your trainer will need to have a power meter for your results to count. If power comes from a zPower calculation, you'll be filtered out of the results. Check the capabilities of your rollers to find out if they have a power meter and communications compatible with Zwift, and don't forget to create a Zwiftpower account as the community generally relies on Zwiftpower for the official results.
