“You’re not gonna be around much longer”. Don’t speak that shit into existence lady, rude and just one of those things your brain filter should have shut down but didn’t.

Love the peek into your resources! As I comb the internet for home school ideas, I am grateful for folks like you sharing. Another plus: a soft spoken video without music! It was very relaxing and easy to focus on your content with only your voice in the video. Thanks!

I met Lu around 1980. They gave us marshmallows to feed him sadly. I found myself at the park again in 2010 not knowing I was at the place I was as a child. I stopped a bit short of the bridge and said to my cousin, "I think I've been here before. Was there a hippo here?" She walked ahead and pointed and said,"Him?" I have only felt that way a couple times in life. The deja vu, the melancholy, the traveling back 30 years in a blink, the flung poop landing everywhere. And it's been another 14 years, life goes fast. Long live Lu

Over 20 years ago now. I worked at McDonald's. Blockbuster ripped me off. I told them the "free rental" coupon I purchased was expired. They told me they'd accept it if I told them yadda yadda. Blockbuster said their system didn't allow them to, so I was ripped off. I was a child and corporations are already stealing my labor.

I randomly thought about Enterprise Village today. I didn't realize until now that this was only an experience for Pinellas County students and not something all 5th graders in America did. I feel lucky I got to experience it. I must have visited in 2008 or 2009. I remember my mom told me to request to be the person who reads the energy meters so I would get to explore the entire village. At the same time, my teacher had told us that she would decide who would be bookkeepers because the bookkeepers had to be very good with math. So I ended up as the bookkeeper for the energy place x'D I guess I was good at math and listened to my mom, putting the meter reader person as my first option. It was so fun paying for lunch with our "salary." I remember being given an Enterprise Village pretend ID, and I kept that ID in my wallet even throughout high school. I never threw that ID away, so hopefully I still have it. Man, so much was easier but also harder as a kid.

Hi! I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing all your picks. I know this is an older video and since the school year is over, which religions book did you and your daughter prefer? I’m so torn on the 12 World Religions and the Big Ideas Religions book for both of my sons WH/Geog. course. Any help/guidance is appreciated.

I went here in 1989/90 school year. I was the doctor doing the checkups at (what was then) Morton Plant Hospital. a few years prior to EV opening, my mom was a nurse at the real hospital, and somehow I ended up being a model in a photo shoot for the hospital's marketing department. Lo and behold when I walked into Enterprise Village some of the photos from that shoot were part of the decoration of the interior of the "hospital" (they're gone now). I even have a couple of photos of me inside Enterprise Village working, one standing next to the skeleton in that exact spot. From my memory, the radio station was Q105, the bank was Barnett Bank, and the drugstore was Eckerd's back then. HSN was Home Shopping Club, and I bought a bangle bracelet from it (visible in said photo featuring skeleton). We were taught how to write a check and balance the checkbook at school the week before we went there. It was really fun!

Do all of these workbooks/books have answer keys with them so you can know if they are doing the work correctly coming up with the correct answers? And where do you buy these at? Sorry, I'm just interested in them for the future for my son. Liked and subscribed to your channel

Looks like an adorable, lovely themed party! It’s definitely English style, but if you’re ever interested, I recommend trying a gongfu tea ceremony! There was actually a whole history involving spy espionage from England towards China, which is how the English got the secrets to tea cultivation. They didn’t know the “proper” brewing methods, resulting in their tea brews being bitter and offset that with sugars and milk/cream. Gongfu is a method that uses precise temperatures (just use an electric kettle!) and brewing times. I usually start with a ten second brew, then fifteen, seventeen, twenty, thirty, etc! My favorite for this is pu’er! As for Japanese teas: I highly recommend genmai cha! It’s green tea with roasted and puffed rice. J-Basket is a loose-leaf that is widely available in Asian markets! ♡
