This is kind of a long winded answer, but I hope this answers your question. just to give you a heads up I have been a professional photographer for a while, and I actually used to work for Canon (along with other electronic distributors). If you're coming from EF- RF (depending on the EF lens) yes the RF 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses are sharper than the EF lenses and handle a lot of situations better, will anyone (including most other professional photographers) notice it? NOPE! The only reason I upgraded was because I had the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 version 1 (With NO image stabilization), and I believe the lens was going out due to how it was handling in certain situations and really struggled. I could have purchased a 3rd party EF 70-200mm, but didn't think that was a smart move. I almost bought the first RF 70-200mm but didn't like the way it extended, couldn't use a teleconverter on it, and didn't like the fact that the weather sealing could potentially be an issue due to the way the lens extended (I also have the 24-105mm so I thought I would just get the Z lens). Will anyone notice a difference between this RF- Z 70-200mm and my old EF 70-200mm (with no IS)? Some people have! I just did a portrait shoot and the client noticed how crisp and clean it was! but most people will never notice as long as they love the image. Will you notice a difference between this RF 70-200mm f/2.8 Z lens and the EF 70-200mm f/2.8 version 1 or version 2 lens? Yes (if you're pixel peeping and if you have a bunch of colors in the photo you will notice fringing that can't be completely corrected in post! but you will only notice that with a ton of colors and pixel peeping in parts of the photo), Will you notice it from the EF 70-200mm Version 3? Nope! not really! Will you notice the difference between the RF versions? Nope! Not really. only if you want internal zoom, slightly sharper image (that's really NOT noticeable and debatable on the quality because other factors could play a part in the image sharpness). The real reason I went with the Z model is simple: 1. Teleconverter access that I can use in a pinch instead of renting or buying lenses that I am NOT going to use consistently for my work. 2. Z Model, which means when I shoot film, I have a lens that is able to work with the Power Zoom feature 3. internal zoom (very important to me) 4. this is the one that NO one really talks about... It's electronically Parfocal which means focus breathing is virtually eliminated (this is huge for both photo and video work)! 5. This might sound silly, but... I have sold off all my other lenses and as a professional photographer, I only have 3 lenses total (I will rent other lenses as needed, but didn't use any of the other ones consistently enough for my work to justify keeping them), I also made this move because it places all 3 of my lenses at 82mm filter thread and that is HUGE! It might seem like a small thing, but the fact that I own all types and sizes of filters (but the ones I have the most of are 82mm's) and now only need to worry about only 82mm filter threads puts my mind at ease as far as what I need to bring, and purchase in the future. so it's uniform! Edit: oh and... 6. 11 aperture blades which does look better in photos. 7. the aperture ring on the RF-Z 70-200 f/2.8 is fantastic because it allows me to use that aperture ring when I am in a pinch and my thumb isn't on the wheel on the back of the camera, and the other reason why is I can set the control ring for different things! On both Z lenses the control ring is set to Kelvin mode to control white balance (YES Kelvin mode controls white balance and works on RAW images controlling the white balance! I am stating that on here because I usually have to explain this to so many people after the fact in the comments when they tell me Kelvin only works on J-Peg's which is NOT the case). hope all this information helps and if you have any questions, feel free to replay and I will reply as quickly as I can.

@@orion_cinema you’re going to lose some quality using extenders as well as with using the 1.6 crop so you need to make sure to use the highest quality image setting. On my R with 30mp the crop doesn’t affect the quality too much and you’ll get a similar result with an extender. The extenders will make the auto focus slower though.

@@nachos_lover The new 70-200mm “Z” lens is a little longer, slightly heavier, has 11 aperture blades, an aperture range of f2.8-f22, it has an optional power zoom attachment you can buy separately, and it has an 82mm filter size. The crop is the "digital zoom" feature in point-and-shoot digital cameras. It uses the center area of you sensor but you lose megapixels doing that. Since most cameras these days have much more megapixels than you need it is a good solution if you can't just put on a longer lens.

Automatic gain control (AGC) is a circuit that regulates the amplitude of a signal to maintain a consistent level, regardless of changes in the input signal. AGC is used in many applications, including: Radio receivers AGC adjusts the gain of the received signal to ensure that weak and strong stations have similar loudness levels. Microphones AGC automatically manages changes in the volume of a sound source to maintain a steady overall volume level. Cell signal boosters AGC automatically adjusts the indoor booster levels to keep up with the constantly fluctuating outside signal. AGC works by adjusting the gain or amplification of the received signal to keep it within a desired range. This improves the system's overall performance

You need to tuck the mic right out of the wind. A chin flap for your helmet would work well and mounted in front of your mouth but not behind the mouth vent if you have one also it depends on what mic you're using. try to make a windsock for the mic to reduce wind noise. Don't use auto gain control and set audio gain to your voice prior to recording, which should be very low if you're yelling while you're riding which you should not have to as the mic will be right in front of your mouth.
@hugogamelasАй бұрын
Thats automatic gain control, its a feature that was present on older cameras. I never use AGC, because it tries to compensate the audio gain by bringing up the quiet parts, but its not fast enough to avoid clipping on the loud parts, so just dont use it.
