Fireblight caught me late last fall. We had drought all year. We ended up getting lots of rain after harvest. When I went to winter prune, a lot of that fall growth had fireblight on their shoots. That late season growth maybe should have been hit with Apogee.

Hello. I am wanting to plant a small orchard, 100-200 trees. Honeycrisp & 2 other apple trees, Romeo & Juiet cherry trees & maybe one other cherry & hazelnut. The location is Dinorwic, in Northwestern Ontario, zone 3. -40. Heavy clay. I want to plant a dual clover (red & white) and fence around the trees and plant raspberries to grow in the fence. I will also be farming bees. Do you have any advice, and would you want to use my land as an experimental property?

My h c trees have 4-6” trunks with lots of branches. I don’t see very many blooms if any. Do u have a way to get more blooms or even get the tree to flower ??
@nostep3966 Жыл бұрын
Could be you are growing wood rather than apples. Starve the tree a bit more. If you are over-fertilizing and/or over-pruning you cause the tree to grow very well, rather than fruiting.

@@nostep3966 I definitely need help for fruiting. I really don’t fertilize much but thought some p or k in late fall ? Trees r 15 yo n have never really bloomed was. I’ve noticed goldish lines inside. Old version??

Please continue to create videos like these. This is much more efficient and helpful than annual in person meetings. These are much more accessible for everyone and can be watched and rewatched at any time forever online.
