May need to remove the foot or lower leg. I also grinded the seat to make more space for head room.

Not sure about GI Joe, but Marvel Legends may sit a bit too high as they are usually a little bit over 6 inches. For the ones in this video , they r a bit shorter the MLs, but I still have to grind the seat to hide their legs better.
