Every time that barrel gets smoking like that it’s rough on barrel I would recommend short burst at the most unless I would break that rule in a self defense shoot out only I like watching other people smoke the barrel it’s still cool to watch but I don’t want mine to loose accuracy so I’m just going to shoot mine one shot at a time like a bolt action. I’m not getting My barrel that hot if I bump mine I will do no more that 10 shot burst. I’m going to baby my rifling. You can bump fire one from shoulder and aim with the sites out but to shoulder hold right hand in position and pull forward and You can aim with sites and still bump a burst. Several years ago I was shooting 22 and I can make My marlin sound almost like full auto. Peace God bless and shoot safe.

Don't rest the barrel on the rest, it throws off the barrel harmonics and your groups will be off
